HOW TO: M6 Wagon Wiper on P5 ???

Does anyone know if the 05-08 Mazda3 wagon arm will work as well? It looks very similar to the mazda6. At least the ones here in canada do. thanks.

omfg how did I miss this?? I'm definitely going to do this soon. I tried with the mazda3 wiper arm but it's not the same size (12mm instead of 10) so it couldn't bolt on.

Didn't you put the nut cover piece on? It makes it look much better. Just be careful you don't torque down the nut too much- it can affect the wiper's operation. It kind of binds it up a bit. I've noticed since doing this mod that in the colder weather it makes a sort of "whining" noise. Not a huge deal- I never have the wiper on higher than the intermittent setting.

I bought it from a member on here and it didn't come with the cover. I'm getting one from my local dealer for less than $2 though so it's not a big deal.

My "Protege5" badge you mean? It was painted black but it's not peeling. I've got a new Sport20 and Familia emblem that I'm putting on this upcoming week.

BTW, I didn't realize how much I loved this mod until it rained here today, it's VERY useful.

I noticed Cable's shaved hatch when I first saw this thread a while back, it does look awesome but that's a hell of a lot of work for that effect. Just debadging looks good, why did mazda have to put the damn holes behind the badges?
Anyways, on topic I need to do this mod soon.

I couldn't really find a good answer to this, but I was wondering what people are using to replace the blade? It seemed like some people were making their own, others were just buying the $14 blade from the dealer. Is there not just a drop in blade that will work? I know Autozone still sells just the blade refills (They keep them behind the counter) but you need to know the blade replacement number or something.
