Try this at your own risk

hey i canged the two large bulbs for blue ones, but the green only got brighter and didn't change color. maybe it doesn't work in my car. Help please???????
I know this one hehe
How this works is:
The back of the gauge face itself (the black thing with the numbers on it that tell you how fast you are going, the temp, etc.) has a few different layers of "silkscreened" color, then a cross hatch design to disperse the light. What you need to do is:
Take off the actual gauge face. This will involve removing needles!!! Please try at your own risk. I suggest that you pick up another cluster or at least part of one before you attempt this on your own. Anyways, to get the face off, you "simply" remove needle, and then remove tiny screws on the face. Then with a medium grit sandpaper, sand off all coloring until you get down to the white. The sanding is obviously done on the BACK of the face. Do not sand off the numbers!
Then, reinstall in vehicle with different colored bulbs and TAH DAH! All good. I have done this mod on previous cars. I personally broke off my temp needle while installing my reverse indiglos in my protege. If anyone has a temp gauge that they will sell me fair price, PM ME. I know for a fact this works, as I have done it on multiple brands of vehicles. Though, I do not know if the protege needles are glued in or what cuz I pulled pretty hard before it snapped off and landed in my back window (I was sitting in drivers seat, gauges were in my lap). Best bet though is to use a fork. Slide fork underneath needle, and pry up. Take it easy though, cuz if you break the needle off, you will have a pretty bright light to stare at instead of a nice pretty orange needle.
If this confused you more than before I am sorry. Just PM me and I will help you out more on this.
