How to dirve a turbo?

i know. :) i wasn't calling you a dick. lol

i find that driving a turbo, you have to be alot more attentive of your input. not like an NA car, where you can just mash on the gas and go. this one, i really have to watch the revs in a corner or else i'll come out flat, waiting for the turbo to spool.

NO I KNOW I WAS JUST MAKIN SRUE YOU DIDNT THINK I WAS BEING ONE!!! ANYWAY... TURBO HAS ALOT OF "GETTING AQUAINTED" TO DO.. MY BUDDY WIHT A DSM TURBO ACTS TOTALY DIF THEN OURS... DUDE YOU SHOULD NEVER COME OUT FLAT IN OUR CARS.. TAKE IT HARD INTO THE TURN DIVE IN SHIFT JSUT BEFOR CORNERING BRAKE AND GAS INTO TURN GAS GAS GAS OUT OF TURN :-).. DOUBLE FOOT IT... WELL IT MAY NOT BE THAT EASY ... OR THAT HARD FOR THAT MATTER JSUT HOW I LIKE TO DRIVE I TEND TO HAVE AND "OVERBOOST" AND PUSH THE FRONT END OUT OF THE TURN AND NEED TO LET OFF JSUT FOR SOME GRIP..... I GUESS I GET TO ANXIOUS!! LOL

What did you do? Drive through a lake?

It's VERY hard to hydrolock a motor even with a CAI.

in hollywierd (Fl that is) outside of girlfriends house, moved car down the street and ended up in the middle of a 2 foot deep 15ish foot wide puddle. i had nowhere to go so i took the closest rout to high ground. took too long and about a gallon of water was in my head and block. shot the water out of the cyls through the spark plug holes with the injectors disconnected and changed the oil... got it started and PING PING PING PING... sure enough bent a couple rods and whasted some piston rings. block needs honing. need gasket set, 4 rods, 4 pistons, rings... etc.

of corse this is all hear-say and none of this actually happened...

theoretically if it did i would provide more details after it was already fixed.

its ok boosting higer in 4th and 5th if we are doing 4th and 5th speeds right? 100-130?

correct. just don't want to boost at low RPM is the gist of it.

for example, on the highway at 65 in 5th gear. you need to pass.. downshift to 4th (or third like i would) and then proceed to pass (or blow their doors off). do not remain in 5th gear and just press the accellerator. this will put a tramendous amount of load on your motor because you're trying to cram that same 6 PSi of air into a piston that isn't going downward fast enough to ingest it. this causes stress to the rods, wrist pins and increased risk of detonation.
