How much did you pay for your Mazda2?

On my 2012 Sport model with manual transmission and no options, we were only able to get the dealer to come down to 14200. We have to pay the sales tax and registration ourselves, because we bought it in Missouri and live in Illinois. Of course, we had a horrible hail storm on the 28th of last month. So, I'm sure they are not giving too much away...

17,100 out the door for a 2012 SG 5MT Touring with no trade in and 0% financing. Base negotiated price was $15,002. Came fitted with window tint, armrest, cargo net, and wheel locks.

$15,912 out the door for a 2012 Touring with manual transmission including internet discount, title/registration and all fees! Definitely happy!

$14,783 out the door on a 2012 Mazda 2 green touring MT, includes all discounts. Includes all incentives, but add tax/title/doc fees. For the nice guy dealing with me, he has one less GREEN to deal with.

I purchased a Mazdas of price $13085 at second hand. Which have a cargo net and locks wheel. It is a good colour Which is totally black, It is heart fetching for me or my friends.

I live in the US and got my 2012 Mazda2 Sport bone bare base except for the armrest (THANK GOD) and it cost me 14.5k but because I'm 18, I calculate that the interest and and all said and done will cost about 22k

welcome to the club and good purchase. word of advice so u dont have to pay that much on the end balance of ur loan. always add an additional 50 to 100 to your monthly payment so for the first two years the principle owed money is lower rather than just the interest.

Just got mine at $14,350 excluding any additional fees. 0% apr for 60 months payment. I think I got a good deal (silver sport manual no options.).

I just picked up an 11 with 14000 km for 12888 plus tax, included adding the MUCH needed centre armrest! Silver auto air cruise. Lovin my new 2!

The center arm rest is something that I really did not want. Saved me some money, too. ;)

FOLKS.

The MAZDA 2 does NOT sell well. As such, you are in a prime position to get a really good deal.

These are the prices you can reasonably expect a dealer to agree to:

$15K for an MT Touring
$13K for a Sport MT

Don't pay a penny more!

Touring MT - Don't pay more than $15,250.00
Sport MT -

just picked up a 12 touring... 15999... in white (300 option) so according to 'econobox' maybe i overpaid by about 450 bucks... oh well.. it was all pretty much no haggle.. plus there seems to be a shortage of manuals around here. I did get the 0% and no payments for 90 days! not too bad i guess.

Yeah, I'll be looking to sell my 2 pretty soon and definitely hear ya on the sell/re-sell price not being so amazing. I have a 2011 Mazda2 Touring (automatic) and HOPE to get close to $13k for it. It has 24k miles on it which is exactly 12k per year (national average - purchased 08/2010). My only saving grace to come close to $13k is it's an automatic. Looking to move over to a 2012, or 13' Fiat 500 Sport, I love those cars so much and the test drives were awesome. When I purchased my Mazda 2, two years ago, I paid MSRP of $17,045.00 for it which in hindsight, I really should've haggled more but nevertheless, Edmunds and KBB both say I'm right on target with what I owe vs its worth, meh.

What you pay for your Mazda 2 is really not entirly up to the dealer it is up to who you are! This is how the Mazda pricing system works. (I sell Mazdas for a living)
For the Mazda 2 the amount between invoice (what the dealer pays for the car) and sticker(what you should pay for the car) is about $200! Most dealers will sell the car at invoice plus tax tags and processing. Now this is where the "who you are" part comes in. This months Mazda incentives are:
-Military loyalty-$500
-Mazda owner loyalty-$500
-Dealer cash-$1,000 (the dealer can give anyone this 1K only for this month and ussually happens at the end of the model years)
-Mazda employee pricing-4% under invoice for any Mazda employee or employee's family

So what this means is if you are a mazda employee in the army with two mazdas in the house you would pay-$12,705 plus tax tags and processing fee for a 5 speed sport. If you meet no rebates then $14,318 would be a great price for you. ($15,318 invoice minus $1,000 dealer cash)

This is why everyone is paying different prices. Incentives are by regon so in California they pay more with less incentives and in MD they pay less with more incentives. Mazda policy is pretty strict and their are not many "swindler" dealers left that will get away with marking up a common car like the Mazda 2. A fair price to pay is dealer invoice plus tax and tags. If you get an incentive see it as an extra bonus for a new car that has depreciated a bit.(end of year 2012's are not worth as much as a new 2013 as they are a year old technicly)
Hope this helps everyone. If anyone would like advise on buying a new Mazda or help with finding out the "real" price you should pay PM me.

Thanks for the info!

Please note though that you will need to apply for and obtain Authorized Vendor Status before conducting business on Mazdas247 (via the Forum and or PM). :D

Ps...Interesting use of words there..."...you should pay PM me."

They have them for just under $12,000 where I live now. Ugh !!!!!
Makes my $13,500 look not-so-good.
I should quit looking at car ads, but I guess I just like to torture myself.
