No, you can't rent them. You can buy a tent from Academy that will sleep 1 or 2 people for $20 or $30.

The only down side to crashing in your car is all the sand that your going to get in it. Garrett did you mention anything about those firelogs? A case is $11 at Wallyworld for 6 logs. Everyone should be able to buy one of those for the fire.

Tents sound like a great idea. They are cheap and most people probably know someone to borrow one from. My apartment is just 30 minutes from the beach so I might sleep in my own bed. Then again, if I am having too much fun I might just pass out on the beach.

You may be able to rent a tent at UT, but at the beach there's nothing but gas stations, bait shops and houses so I think renting a tent in Galvestion is out of the question. Purchasing a tent shouldn't put anybody out. If nothing else, there should be enough of us with tents (me included) that can provide a place to crash. If all else fails, there is always your car to sleep in if you don't mind dumping 5lbs of sand in your ride. (friday)
