hood shocks

Does anyone out there know if there are any kits available that allow you to mount shocks to the hood to replace the stupid hood prop?

I had this installed aftermarket on my previous Vdub and it was a nice feature. The kit was made specifically for the dub and I'm wondering if there is one that I can get for the Protege5 without drilling any holes.

Why not try and manufacture one yourself? It's a quite simple setup.

yah autoexe makes them. like $200+ though. just go home depot or something. i did a post on this b4 i think. peace- chris

yeah i think your best bet is to try and make em fit yourself or custom something up.

Grrr... $200? I was expecting $50. Does anyone know if some company has made any within the past 8+ mos?
