Ideal Scoop

This scoop is sooooooo diesel

you don't want an EVO vent but you want a WRX style scoop?? (huh) to me the scoop is a lot more noticeable then the vent and more so the scoop is like that because of their top mount to bring in air, not to let it out. *shrug* to each their own though.

I also do not want to pay $700 for a hood. The scoop a can paint cheap. It would cost another $200-$300 to paint the hood or even more since it is CF. I do not want a black CF hood with an orange color car, but $$$ is the main factor here. I might also consider custom vents on the stock hood.

you can cut evo vents into your hood. Just cut holes and screw them in... something likle that. How does the DGM grille help with cooling? Stock grill lets in plenty of air

Everyone who asked me about the WRX vent:

That's not my car (I wish) & I don't have the vent (yet). It's a WRC replica (the WRC WRX uses it & apparently doesn't have any problems with having a hood scoop too) & is $260 from gimmiegears.com.

the WRC cars still used a top mount i/c in some rally stages so the scoop was still functional. that vent would work, you'd just need to cut into the hood, do some body work to make it look clean and if you drive it daily just figure out a way to direct moisture and water away from vital components.

Most of the pictures I've seen have the FMIC in the upper grille & the radiator in the lower grille, but I'd imagine they would swap it back for some stages. They also sell reverse vents that you can stick in place of the hood scoop to let air out, so there are ways to avoid sucking air back in if you own a WRX. Anyway, what you said is exactly what I plan on doing.
