It's too bad at this level that any team has to lose. The Senators-Devils series was just awesome. But I'm glad for Ottowa. They've basically had a year that saved the franchise, and they were a team that:
- kicked the Devils butt during the regular season
- gave the Devils defense fits in this series
- has an awesome fan base, chanting a heartrending "Go Sens Go" after the series was lost. Fans here in NJ/NY aren't that nice...
But this sucks now. Petr Sykora, former Devil playing against us. Rob playing against his brother Scott Niedermyer, and 2 walls in the goal... augh, it might not be that easy for the Devils after all. Devils in 7.

Okay,
I CAN'T believe that I didn't see this thread earlier, I am a huge hockey fan and this years playoffs have been amazing. This was a fun read guys.
Now for that matters at hand.
Sadly my team didn't make the playoffs (Sharks)
How 'bout dem Ducks? It's practically against my religion to root for the Ducks, but I have been cheering for them since they took out Detroit in 4, so very sweet. Seeing them beat Dallas was even better, I friggen hate the Stars.
I wanted to see Ottawa come out of the east, but I guess you can't really complain.
I think it's gonna be Ducks in 6 in the finals with a bunch of 2-1 and 1-0 games. It's gonna be a goaltending exhibition. And a lot of the neutral zone trap which isn't always the most fun thing to watch but the Ducks have some speed and Paul Kariya is starting to heat up so we should see some exciting hockey.
And on last thing, The rangers suck! The highest payroll in the league and they missed the playoffs again! buwahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Nope, you are not the only Sharks fan here, I have been representing from the very beginning since the Cow Palace Days. I love the Sharks and I love hockey.

Here's ANOTHER one to worry you: Damphousse ALSO has a player option!!! HE doesn't have to say anything until 1 July! Is HE gonna stay, or run out as well....

You guys worrying about some of the Duck players? I'm worrying about the Devils and basketball Nets future - the YankeeNets company that owns both teams might not survive, and a new arena will NOT be built.
If that happens, nightmares of nightmares, Devils and Nets will likely be dismantled next year or the next. Bye bye to championship teams from NJ for a while then. That's why they both have to win this year all the way.

And it looks like if the Ducks are going to win this one it may well go 7 games, I can't see the Ducks winning 4 in a row against the Devils, but it could happen.
and as for the autox I was planning on it but I had a recording job re-scheduled for the afternoon on the 8th. Meaning I would have to leave the autox by noon, still worth attempting to go?

hey actually Newark is more accessible thanks to the train stations, I think. Right now it's a real pain to drive and park to the Meadowlands (it really should be called the swampgaslands). I druther park somewhere in Jersey City and then take the Path down. That's not a bad idea.
And maybe even some new yorkers will ditch the sucky rangers and knicks and hop on the PATH to Newark. but only if it's built in Newark.
