Just got this email

Hello again Bill'
We meet on the golf cart that you quoted unprofessional. Anyways I'd like
to remind you that the tank rule was not an excuse it's a safety
measure. Secondly the rude and unprofessional kids didn't have temper
tantrums when they get bad news. For a bunch of grown men there sure was a
lot of unprofessional when I seen water bottles getting thrown.

I also did believe you when you told me your contact with Thanh and did
what was necessary to contact Thanh. Also I can't see how you didn't want
any special treatment when all your guys kept saying were VIP in check in
and you guys got sick of being patted down for security. Security needs to
do their jobs and check everyone it's not like you guys entered the show
on good terms.

Have you ever ran a show and had to meet regulations on site? Oh and if
you guys did show up Friday you would be getting a reply back today. And
what fact "appears" with what kickbacks? Just cause the winners have
major funds in their vehicles doesn't mean they win. In fact when they do
win its not even 5% of the funds put in their vehicles. And yes there were
actually 24 awards eligible for your cars and 2 Mazda manufacturer awards.

To be honest with you Mr. Russell you're not the first or the last group
that will feel this way. But you concerns are wit H.I.N your sending your
concerns to NCCA we have no jurisdiction on any H.I.N decision.

I think HIN needs to change thier name to Hot Ricerburner nights. I took my E30 M3 (I bought it from a guy who brought it over from germany.) to a HIN show and the guy told me that they only alow "Imports". well no ******* s*** retard! Why do you think all the stickers and lables are written in german. and why do you think the spedo only has km/h. BTW my car was in better condition than any of the cars I saw enter.

Pics?(shocked)

Now you see what we were dealing with. As I found out this was one of the guys on the golf cart that wouldn't let us in.

Well, HIN has become what all major (succesfull) entities become....greedy. They do bring the cash flow. I personally hate HIN and wish that they could be brought down...which I really doubt it can be done. The greatest show on Earth was Import Expo and they only lasted 3 years because someone bought them to take away the competion of the shows. If you can beat them, buy them.

HIN in Dallas (a huge market for promotion, which is what HIN is all about, the vendor $$) had been held in an old delapitated Market Hall for the last 4 years. Cars been pushed against each other, and in one occasion I did clash with the organizer, to refund my $ and let me out. I said I would never go again or support HIN ever.

2006 comes in, I have what I thought was the best car I have ever built. Of all things a Mazda (biggest HIN sponsor), and for the first time they actually get the Dallas Convention Center, a state of the art building! So what do we get. We did register on time, we did drop our cars on Friday, and we get the back corner lot.

On Saturday (which it was my understanding, no roll-in) they bring about 50 more cars, and they get crammed in what ever little space is behind us! Its just a matter of how many can we fit, the more, the more $$ we make. Well that just doesnt compare to what you went through, but it still shows how they operate.

THe judging, well that is a different story. I thought because the NCCA was judging, it would be a lot more fair than previous DFW shows. If I'am not mistaken, a car with shaved molding, molded fender, bumpers, etc, should be in the Wild-Class. Well I have never placed in the 4-door class before, and I really thought that I had a shot at least at a 5th place. Well, Lord and behold, they downgrade a beautifully done all molded Galant to the Mild-Class! Taking away spots, well guess what, that was my first ever 5th! I dont think I deserve anything, but I really hate to loose to misrepresented cars in the wrong class.

For whatever its worth, I love showing my car and unfortunately will have to go through a lot more of this scenarios since Mazdas (not RX7s) get no respect! Not even from MazdaNA themselves.

Peace
Vic

Nice car stop by and see us if you ever get in to the Phoenix Area. Xavier

It looks like we are getting taken care of.

Dear Arizona Mazda Club members,

I’d like to take this opportunity to inform you that we are in the process of refunding your registration fee’s from the Night Shift Phoenix event over the weekend. I understand your frustrations and definitely am not happy with the outcome but at the end of the day we must take action and move forward. By the time you check this message your amount should be fully refunded into your CC account you used to pay.

I’d like to make clear that the Mazda club was not targeted or segregated. As I have stressed before, arriving on Saturday does leave that window of missed opportunity. I am truly disappointed that it had to be the Mazda club which I have been working with to make a strong showing. I’m truly sorry for trying to make the favor for the club to roll in Saturday, unfortunately it ended up biting me in the butt. This is why I stress rolling in on Friday at the prescribed times. I know I tried to bend the rules to help out and was unable to make it happen for the club, for that I apologize. I hope you understand the situation we were faced with and understand it is not in our best interest to have a smaller show. I understand this makes myself seem unorganized and now will work extra hard to make Phoenix as successful as our other 20+ cities.

At this point I think it is important to take a step forward and make sure we take care of everyone involved. Each member will have their registration costs refunded. The tickets and judging at the show are waived as a token of our sincere apologies. I will also waive these fee’s for next year showing. Following this email I will sit down with my event director immediately to make sure the venue and our organization are on the same page with the exact sizing we need. Thank you for your understanding and I especially admire the all for one mentality of the club, for that I must commend AZMC tremendously!
