High Mileage CX-5s - report in

Aww man, I got ripped off. Don't have one of those spiffy stickers on my oil pan.😄
Are you running it without the plastic underbody covers?
Bottom covers are on. Oil pan was replaced in first year of ownership and they left the sticker on. If you want, I'll send you a photocopy and you can slap it on yours, lol.

For me? My very own sticker. Thank you, Thank You, Thank You. LOL

If it ever turns wet there that will likely be the cause but personally I wouldn’t bother with getting it fixed unless leak was significant enough to even allow drops to make it to the ground beyond the splash shield

Yeah, I don't know that I'd trust anyone to do a proper repair to pull that apart and replace a seal, seeing what you went through.

Skyactiv friends, can someone make or point me towards a list of maintenance done to their CX-5's after the 200,000 mile mark? I'm very close to surpassing that figure on my Skyactiv 2.5 Mazda 6.

Currently, the major things which look to be needed soon will be struts/springs, (original) engine/transmission mounts, and a catalytic converter. No codes, no CEL, seems to run well, averaging nearly 5L/100km consistently for a while now (91 Octane tune, 6 speed auto.)

Dang! I couldn't imagine paying over $7000 for a 10 year old cx5 with 300,000+ miles on it! Car prices are crazy!

Also I note, all three ^ ^ ^ of those are in areas that use road salt (two in the Northeast that heavily use road salt) with good looking bodies 👍.

Yes indeed, Mazda makes a good product 😁 (IMHO)

Hey! Just hit 100k miles this morning on the way to work. Happy Birthday to me! Still running strong and quiet, no leaks, great gas mileage, and looks good. Only problem is the ghosting touch screen. Looks like a keeper. Now, on to 200,000 miles...

2016.5 CX-5 GT AWD @ nearly 130Kmi.

Still looks like a nearly-new CX-5. Minus two small paint chips that I'll correct soon. Still keeping up a reasonably aggressive maintenance schedule. Keeping it frequently washed and well-"waxed" and protected. Got new "shoes" a couple months ago -- Nokian Encompass AW02 tires, replacing a set of Nokian WRG4 that lasted almost 4.5yrs.

A/C -- Pressure test, replacing any needed o-rings/seals recharge -- Has begun to struggle a little, this year, in the high temps and humidity, so it's time.

IAT, MAP, MAF, TB, O2 sensors, PCV, Evap Purge Solenoid -- This autumn, time for a check and cleaning of these. Have been having an intermittent low idle condition. None of these have been touched since the car came off the assy line, so far as I know. It'll be good minor weekend projects to ensure they're still functioning as they should. I'll get to know the car a bit better, and hopefully the occasional low idle will resolve.

Belts + Hoses -- Next year, for hoses. And will check all the belts, but they look fine for now. (Last did the accessory belt and tensioner about 35Kmi ago.)

Suspension Shocks/Struts and links -- Next year. Have begun to get an occasional creaking in the left rear, and I know some of the rear bushings are showing they're tired. It will be time to get the shocks done, along with the associated "rubber" bits, links.

Transmission/Diff filter+fluids -- At 150Kmi, it will be time to do these again.

Brakes are fine, with half their life left. Time for an engine bay cleaning/protection. This autumn, time for another deep cleaning and "waxing" of the paint, along with a complete cleaning of the interior (to get into all those nooks and crannies that are beginning to show themselves).

Thats why I buy my air/cabin filters off Amazon for half the price!

Air cabin filters are cheaper, engine air filters are still up there. Even the Mazda online parts places are up there. I bought oil filters last year, ran me about $11. Geeezz
