Well I have the Xenon HID 8000k kit, and installing it was a slight problem. We had to switch some wires to make it work but the thing is that my lights only work on high beams and when its regular lights it would start to flicker. Whats the problem with this?

DRL, during the day your headlights are automatically on all the time, regardless if the switch is off

subbing also intrested in this i had same issue when i first bought my car it dosnt bother me but gets anoyinng seeing a blue light on in your cluster...

If they flicker - chances are it means you have daytime running lights (DRLs)

The problem with those is the following:

During the day your lights draw less power from your battery - that's honestly the only difference between your daytimes and your full lights. The lack of power/voltage causes the relay in your kit to flicker or stick.

The result of the relay flickering is your headlights flickering or possibly staying on even after the car is off. In either event this can cause premature failure of your ballasts.

There are a number of ways you can disable your DRls. If you have fogs lights you can wire them to be on all the time - look in the HOW-TO section to find out how to do that.

Another option is to ground your handbrake wire and pull out the handbrake bulb from your cluster. Sure it's not as fancy but it gets the job done.

I've heard of people taking out the fuse for the daytimes. I don't know if this causes any problems later on down the line.

You can also buy a relay to disable the DRLs. check out www.thexenonstore.com

Hope that helps :)

It maybe something to do with re wire the whole connection, I was talkin to somebody about why I have to use the High beam and my lows start to flicker and this guy said that I might have to change some connections.

Im thinkin it could just be the fuse, because it seems like when you switch to the regular low beams it starts to flicker like it can't take no more power.

if that were the case the fuse would blow. My guess is you have a bad ballast or youve connected it wrong, take a picture of how it is connected and Ill see if I can help you.

i have a problem. i installed new headlights, and the secure clip is probly a bit less tighter than the OEM headlights. i notice when i go over jolts or bumps, the lights flicker alot more. is there a way to stop the flickering, or is the the ballast shaking or what.

did you buy a bi-xenon kit? most likely a wiring issue, although i've heard many problems with bad ballists. see if there is a warrenty that came with your kit.
