My HID bulbs have burnt out twice on me. I'm just gonna stick with buying an actual HID conversion kit for later on.

Why 10000k? Are you going for just looks or do you actually want to see the road at night? I personally would stick within the 4300k - 6000k range. This way you get both the look and the light performance. Just an opinion though.

i got 6500 looking for a bit of blue, and it's still too blue for my liking
i'd go for the high 4000 range, low 5000

I think mine were around the 4000 range too. Not blue, just white and could see great. The ones I had were Xenon then they went out. Then I tried APC (yeah, yeah I know), but they went out also. The next ones I wanted to try would've been PIAA but, I just said screw it and went back to stock. lol

Just my humble opinion, but I think the silverstar are great, and only $35 at WalMart. I've had them over a year, and no problems!

Well honestly the best and optimal hid bulb is 5600K so 6K is the best rought to go mainly white and very bright. Now anything appove that will only change the coloring. You will lose a little of your viewing compared to 6K but compared to a halogen bulb you are brighten the road. Now i have 12K in my MSP and they are purpleish, they are still bright as hell, i get flashed all the times by on coming traffic, But when i'm in a pitch black road they do brighten the road up. I have no complaints out of them. Oh and i have Dual bulbs so i still have high beams useless as they may be but they are there for just incase DUI stops where police check everything. HID are worth having if you have the money to spend.

Have a 4300k conversion on my bike high beam......it's the eye of god on a dark night.

Just to clairfy, Silverstar or ANY halogen bulb.....NOT a HID.

Should just call them LID's, low intensity discharge.

I realize silverstars AREN'T hid's. Then again, I paid less than $40 for them. So, cost-to-light ratio= I got the better deal.

Heh, you obviously have not seen the light output of a real HID setup.....you got ripped off.

I have Phillips vision plus and Silverstars in the car and bike, compareing them to a true HID setup is like apples to watermelons.

Yeah, but HID's cost a shitload more, and devalue your car...believe it or not. Of course, any mod will devalue the car.

i had silverstars.. i wasnt impressed at all for 20$a bulb.i just stepped it up and went HID and its 10x better..i dont care if it devalues my car it looks sweet and makes my MSP stand out..cant wait to get my 10k bulbs
