Hello all!
I'm GlassCactus. I just bought a 2012 Mazda2 as a present to myself on my 18th birthday. I originally wanted an auto but after test driving it I picked the manual (I couldn't drive stick very well and made a fool of myself but I loved it anyway) and bought it that same day. I left the dealer with 6 miles on the odometer and I haven't looked back after almost 750 miles now! I say Richmond but I live a bit further down, although still within 30 mins of the city. After previously owning an 85 Chevette and a 1990 Buick Century this is a huge step forward in my live and I really REALLY love this car. Shes my baby, I have gone so far as to kill a bird that i say poop on my car haha. I originally registered at another forum but it is like dead over there so idk what is going on.Anyway, I'm sorry I'm spinning yarn lol yea so hopefully I can go get some pictures up of her in a few if you all would like!

I got Pearl in a manual. It was either that or blue and auto... NOPE.jpg haha and as far as mods, seeing as I just turned 18, I'm strapped for all kinds of cash. But I'm getting a better job soon and I'll for sure start modding it. So far I've got this list in order from top to low priority:
Splash guards (especially since it's white)
Windows tinted 40%+
RB or CS exhaust
Konig rims (black)
new dials for climate control
new shift knob
pedals
roof rack
HID

*TECHNICALLY* I'm not in Richmond.... I live between Colonial Heights and Midlothian, but in order to connect with more 2 owners I'd easily travel to Richmond.

BUY IT. For sure. I'm horribly picky about cars. And I love my 2. I can even afford to put premium gas in it! Something the Buick never knew lol

You do know that this car is made to burn 87 right?

Nothing different. That's the point. No need to spend extra on gas. Spend it on mods. (whistle)

Actually it's worse than nothing different, it'll waste gas and pollute a bunch more. Probably will make less power too. Higher octane gas is harder to burn, that's what makes it high octane, so not all of the gas that gets injected into the cylinder will combust if the octane is higher than the car is designed for.
