Can someone help? I bought 18" wheels but they rub everytime I hit an anthill! I can't return them (hand) What are my options? I don't want to spend a lot of money. Is there a string out there for this type of problem? Thanx!

first off your tires are too big. only use a 215/35/18 unless someone happens to make a 215/30/18. you might have to roll the fenders. i've been researching wheels and its not easy finding a wheel that fits what i want and fits the car. what is the offset you have?

dunlop makes a 205/35/18 ... that might help ya a lil

if he's not lowered then i'd say the offset is like +38 --- lol

i think Rishie or some one was using a 215/40/18 or 204/40/18 -- cant remeber what it was -- but it worked

okay you guys i just got back from work. i'm still an idiot to this... dunno what the offset is. yeah, i know i'm sad. but y'alls the bomb!!! thnx for all the feedback. yeah, it's still stock and i'll get back w/offset. thnx again... peace.

first and foremost get rid of those tires you have on now. once thats done see how the ride is and if it rubs. if it still rubs you have 3 choices. (1) roll the fenders. (2) get new wheels w/ a greater offset. (3) live with the rubbing.

Offset- offset given in (mm) is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to which the wheel mounts to the hub on the car. Our cars w/ the stock rims have an offfset of 50mm. having a 7.5 in rim you'd be advised to have a 48mm offset but it is possible to get away with have lower though the issue of rubbing may come into play...moreso if the car is lowered.
