help with boost

I just bought a boost gauge and a manual boost controller and i just want to know how much boost i can run on a stock turbo, stock engine, stock intercooler.

i know its running 15.6 stock but how high can i go?

there are different theories but it is generally accepted that the turbo gets close to its efficiancy limit around 18psi I run 17.8psi and it romps!!! I have the standback so I just type in desired boost. If you just have a mbc ur gonna need a boost cut defender

Hey, you are not too far from me. Maybe we will cross paths this summer. The efficiency of the turbo falls off pretty quick after 17- 18 regardless,that some folks run 20 or so. But there are some other ways to get some horsepower that are safer, before you throw boost at it. There has been alot of work done already by forum members. search around and many of your questions may well have been mulled over and answered or not. best luck

do you have a MAP clamp or boost cut defender? If not I don't think you can go to/above 18psi. I would set it to 17 or so
