Looking for advise on buying 22-23 CX-5 Turbo

I am looking to buy a 22-23 CX-5 Turbo, I have looked at dang near everything out there. I’m coming from a 2006 4Runner 4wd, and although I like the 4R, I’d like a little more luxury, speed and tech. The Turbo checks almost all boxes - affordable, quick, comfy, good tech, great design. What other pleasant surprises should I expect in the change from the 20 year old Toyota? Any advise, when I’m ready to pull the trigger, on what I should pay attention to in a lightly used model?

turbos should be using 5W30....so really if they have been using 0W20 you going to trust anything they say? I had 3 free oil changes when I bought mine new and used two and twice they over filled it....said right on the invoice 6 qts....was way high on the dip stick...I do it myself and 100% know it is done right.
I have a 2019 and 2025 2.5L Mazda turbo, and they both have 5W-30 on the oil cap. It seems like many shops overfill the engine oil these days… I tend to think it’s just laziness cause they don’t wanna get the oil level correct. According to the manual, the dipstick's top mark indicates maximum. Last time the dealership overfilled mine by a significant amount, I brought it back for them to correct. The service manager told me they overfill on purpose because customers don’t check their oil. I can believe that about the customers… but still.
And I haven’t found the turbo to use oil, so I don’t know why they would intentionally overfill.

Somebody should explain to this auto repair supervisor why this is such a bad idea. Just sounds like a stupid excuse.

Yea, probably just covering for the shop guys. It will cost me more money (probably), but I may just start telling them to use 5 quart bottles (from parts dept.) so I know it will be right… instead of filling it from their bulk supply.
