Help w/ Kenwood Excelon KDC-X990 HU

I recently swapped the alpine for the kenwood.

Question is:
How do i access the menu to:
*stop the display from going sedate to BRIGHT every 7 seconds?(argh)
*Turn off the internal amp?
*Get the clock to RDS/align or set it manually?(argh)

The unit sounds great and the controls actually let me remove the H/K active crossover out of the system.
