i need just a breakdown of what color wires go to which! im putting sedans on a p5. do the wiring colors just match up?

Get H4 bulbs... and you will need to do a relay of sorts. Maybe Matt V will chime in...

Sadly I only know how to make it work when you retrofit, because it makes it much easier.

Whats the difference? Wires for high and low are rewired for H4 either way, or do you not need to worry about some stuff with HIDs?

with a bi-xenon projector, no wiring mods are needed on the pro5.

Heres the finished product! High beams work perfectly and everything, just the fog light mod doesnt work on the Canadian p5 =(
But heres the pic

To make a long story short LOL.......

The thing to mention here is that the P5 and Sedan are wired differently in a way that the sedan uses H4(HI/LOW) and P5 uses H7 for low beam and 9005 for high beams. This is the main difference.

For the sedan guys. If you ever played with the highbeam switch and held it to the point before switching the high beams on, you will see that both high and low beam will be on at the same time. This is done to not loose light when switching over to highs and vise versa for night driving. ( You dont get this with the P5 though ).

P5 you will see that the low beams stay on and the switch for highs does just that, high beams only meaning both highs and lows stay on on the P5. ( Perfect for a Bi-Xenon retro ). <------- ( Same as my Integra if I ever do a Bi-Xenon Retro on it )

The case being made by njaremka, you will definatley reduce your H4's bulbs life if both filements are on at the same time Hi 55W/Low 60-65 watts. One will eventually fail prematurly for sure.

If you take a close look at the PDF link that njaremka posted, you will see how the solenoid switches from high to low and cuts one another of so that only one filement on the H4 stays on. Seeing it closely you will see that the ground is being swiched from the low beam to the high beams ground. The High Beam + energizes the coil in the relay which pulls the lever from the ground to complete the circuit. The solenoid is needed on the P5's for the sedan Headlights. Solenoid is nothing but a switch which are also used in Fog Lights if you have ever wired any up on your car. Same concept except you choose to have them come on with the lights or manually do this with a seperate switch.

Simple solenoid diagram.
