help on tach

the other link didnt work so hopefully this one does. im trying to find out if our proteges (i have a 2002.5 pro5) are 2 pulse or 1 pulse. i bought a autometer phantom series 5" tach and it says if i have a 4cyl 2 pulse i cut one wire, and if i have a 4cyl 1 pulse, i cut two wires. i cut the one wire and its seems to be working, but when my old tach is at about 3000rpm, the autometer is only at like 2500rpms. does anyone know?????

thanks

they are from a 2000 celica, requires some cutting of the bumper but very minimal, they are kinda small for the hole too because it shows some of the hole. you might wanna try another one. but back to the tach, anyone know?

thanks

I wondered the same

Dude,

Call autometer. Supposedly our car has a coil pack ignition which means that we have to buy the tach and send it to them and they will calibrate it for our rollers... Later man...
