I'd greatly appreciate some help. My son's 2008 Mazda 3 (2.3L) has wacky, intermittent issues. I bought the car earlier this year for $3,000 and knew that it had the following issues that happen altogether about 95% of the time:
The car also had an airbag issue (dash light) which was fixed at the dealer. The dealer suggested it might be an instrument cluster issue and they could replace it with a used one for $600 - but it was no guarantee to fix.
Would anyone recommend I do the cluster replacement myself? Or any other suggestions to try first?
- Turn signals work but no indicator of turn signals appear on the dash. Same for hazard lights.
- A/C light functions but A/C compressor doesn't turn on.
- Right side of the climate display does not work. (The display only shows the time & radio station.)
