Hey guys I am currently doing a mp3 conversion and just painted the front bumper today well when I put that thing close to my hood it is going to look terrible with all the rock chips. So I either want to take my hood off and paint it or get a reasonably priced cf or fg hood. I was looking at the Xcelerated concepts hood but that is a lil pricey for me right now 580 to the door. I seen a VIS hood also they seem nice anyone know about the fit on these and where I could get one for a reasonable price? I am looking for the stock style hood I dont want any scoops or vents.

Heres the bumper dont want this on my car with a rock chiped hood. Dont worry painting the side skirts and rear skirt wednesday.

I've heard mixed opinions about the VIS hood. Many of them negative. So for the money it may cost you for a CF hood, I would suggest not going with that company. I chose a DGM. I little more expensive, but hood fits well. After a few summers, however, it is beginning to fade a little from the sun, and that's after extra clear coats and waxing. But this is to be expected from most CF products that sit in direct sunlight. So repainting the stock hood might be your most affordable route.

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... did you fill in the indentation in the front bumper for the license plate bracket?? I've always dreamed of doing that!!!!!

edit: nvm just the reflection or something, I see it's normal in the 2nd pic.

I was going to but unfortunetly in Ohio you have to have a front plate and this is my daily driver I dont need somethin else to get pulled over for. I could see getting pulled over then him bitching about my tint too and my rear smoked cover or the 5mph over I was prob doing also.

I have never had a front plate on my mazda :) you should have asked me if I had gotten in trouble haha.

But anywhoo I have a VIS hood and I love it! I like it more than the DG hood that Amy had on her ghetto sled :)

Don't blame ya.

I got pulled over on my way to Polaris on New Year's Eve for not having a front license plate. $87 fine. At that time, I had the plate in the front windshield, but afterwards, I figured that if they'll pull me over with it in the windshield, then no point in showing one at all lol To this day, still don't have a front license plate.

i have a fiberglass erebuni hood i need to get painted. i'm still deciding whether i wanna keep it or not...
