help 2004 mazda6 radio messup whoops!!!! wife's car

Needing help with radio. Have 2004 mazda 6 tried to do my own aux mod didn't turn out now I don't have any sound but beeps and cd player won't register with oem. So I hooked up an aftermarket stereo and have it spliced into stock harness with a switch to main power so the stock don't come on which means no lights on center Consel.what can I do to get all light to work without having to turn switch. If switch is on with aftermarket radio then the after one reads failure. All help is welcomed
