Headers for P5

Header

Check out nopionline.com. They list an APC ceramic 4-1 header for pretty cheap. It may be a piece of garbage for how cheap it is though.

I got my custom header done locally, dynoed it and it was a 10whp gain, I love it, I got it from the same guy who is doing a custom turbo setup in a year for me just don't have the dough to shell out

so if you got yours done custom locally would you say its about the same as the apc for 180

APC=Absolute Piece 'O Crap I'm gonna sell my header in a couple months......only problem wiht it is that its a full equal length eliminates both cats doesn't have an EGR port and only one O2 bung since i used a simulator on the second O2 sensor. It dynoed a 12 whp gain up top....this is a 4-1 header though which will lose some low end but gain in the high end and it will make your exhaust a little louder as well. I'm probably gonna sell it for 130+shipping or so.

Last time I checked, the P5's were only available in 4 cylinders... hence why there would only be ONE header.

What does this not being a "Honda Board" have to do with this guy not knowing simple facts about 4-cylinder cars?

Oh man, this is gonna be funny. I can't wait until chdesign replies.(rofl)

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't looking for info on the different companies that have a header on the market for the p5 in all correctness be looking for headers. Then again, I don't know if the bolt pattern would work or what type of performace you would find, but what about two 2-1 headers, with a true dual exhaust.

Just wondering.

OK first....go look on the front of your car if you have a protege.....look at the badge now....ok does it look like a square with a H in it??? NO!!!!!! Thats what I mean this isn't a honda board we aren't here to flame people for little insignifigant mistakes that don't even matter so what if he said headers 90% or the population does. Anyways you knew what he was saying didn't you so why post pointless garble and turn this into a flaming thread. THATS WHAT I MEAN NOT A HONDA BOARD. I know too many people on honda board that make ignorant comments like that to new comers to the boards and they end up not ever coming back to the board because of the way someone acted towards them on a post that they made asking a legitimate question. There have I made my point??? (flame2)

Some people here in this thread had posted info on power gains about some custom made headers and they say something about 9-12whp gain.

This site has one that fits perfect in the block, but need some mods for the egr and the exhaust pipe:

ok, now if i was to get these, obviously they would fit on the bolt pattern alot better than the apc ones (well assuming the apc ones are low quality crap. assuming).

The only concern i really have is if it will clear the lower part of the block, and if it does, cant i just get custom piping from the header to the cat?

oh and whats an EGR? Im not a mechanic

EGR= Exhaust gas Recirculation Valve. that header will eliminate both of your cats and you will ahve to get custom exhaust piping to get it in. If you wanted something like that just wait till i get my turbo setup on and buy mine a custom 4-1 header that eliminates the cats but you could just have the second cat welded in after the header when you get the piping for it done. I got about a 10 whp gain from mine. I'm gonna sell it for around 150 or so.

i have the racingmazda header and i have the second cat still.
it just removed the frist one.it was good for 12whp on my car and the differance is like night-n-day.also i have all o2's hooked up and the egr and the circut to fix that damn cel light.
