I've got a homie with a GTS Action Package Celica with an Injen Intake and a TRD Exhaust. He keeps bugging me to race, but I'm pretty sure I'll lose 'cause I'm stock. However, I'm curious how close of a race it would be. How bout some input? :)

try racing a alltrac, lol... then itz the celica who will win... less the driver is a dumbass

[no contest] then try 6th gen celica gt-4 [/no contest]

dun bother, u'll blow ur engine just trying to match itz horsepower

i have raced my friend, he has a gts too with aem intake and trd exhaust.

it is a good race, great rival, but I always win.
on the track, he only manage to do 15.4best ET while I do 15.1-14.9 best ET

I ran 14.9 stock in my GT-S I also have the spped and the GT-S is definatly faster. Car weighs under 2500 and has 180 stock. After a few mods it is even faster. Check out my Sig to see what I have on it.

1.- why do people keep asking this dumb questions? Just go to the track and race!!!
2.- If you ask on the MSP forum, 95% of the people will say the MSP is faster even if it against a Porsche 911. People will find a way to say the MSP is faster around the track when the MSP is in 2nd gear coming out of the corner when the temperature is exactly 68.1 F and the humidity is 33%........

lol 03mspro! seriously don't even try it because i was at the qualcomm races here in san diego and my friend also has a celica gt-s action package w/injen & apexi exhaust! sounds soo sweet! well i saw two msps and i asked both drivers to race him and they agreed! what a bunch of NOOBIE kids taking their cars straight from the dealer to the track! :wtf: whatever, these two msps (orange & yellow) lose horribly to my friend by 2-3 carlengths.. but if your a good driver you'll keep up! and the only way to win is to up the boost.. and if you have a protege 5 get turbo, however, if the celica had a blitz supercharger then an even bigger MONSTER is reborn!! i video taped the whole thing, maybe i can post up the vids, does anyone know where i can upload these? -jayrocka (k)

on the bar below the banner ads click user cp then navigate to manage files and upload from there. it'll make them postable, and post by putting the target in ... tags

I think the MSP would do ok if the GT-S was the automatic version. My friend (a girl that can't drive a stick) has a GT-S Action package, stock...seems sluggish when it shifts. 6 speed-different story.

If your a good Driver, i'm sure the MSP would take the GT-S. Didn't have a problem in a 02 SE-R. A MSP is alittle quicker than a SE-R.;)

I owned an AllCrap, what a pile of s*** (slowest ******* car that I have ever owned). The MSP is NO fast car, but I think that it could take an AllCrap due to the 4,000lb weight of the AllCrap.

If you do race him, do it on a track where that kinda s*** belongs.

Why do you always have something negative to say about a MSP? If you want to b**** about how bad this car is, take it somewhere else.

Dude, if you need help selling your car, let me know. I'm tired of your constant bitching. Go buy a Civic & be happy. I'd be more than happy to help you place some Autotrader ads or something. Christ.

My last car was a 2000 GT-S, and I think it would be close in a straight line, but the GTS would have the advantage, but in a cury area, the LSD and suspension setup in the MSP would give it a large advantage. So it all depends on where you go...

In autox, I like my MSP MUCH better as a stock racer, but my Celica had better handling modified than the MSP does stock... but not by much. I'd say the Celica's big advantage is the lighter weight: a gts weighs between 200-400lbs less than an MSP... (depending on options)

just try it, both will have a lot of fun...
if its going to be on the streets, please choose one empty and wide.

my girlfriend has a GT-S with TRD exhaust, honestly, it does not feel any fast then my stock MSP. I think the advantage comes in on the MSP with the gear ratios and the shorter redline. where the msp has a good power curve through most of the rpm band and it gets right up there fast , the gt-s has to get all the way up to about 6200, which always feels like forever compared to the msp, before the chip kicks in the extra 40 hoarsepower. handeling wise, i think the gt-s completely BLOWS compared to the msp, torque steer is just rediculous.
