Greddy RS problems

I just put a greddy rs on my speed and it is venting into the air but it is still only making the turkey. If this is all i am going to get out of venting it into the air i'd just rather recirculate and eliminate the little bit of stalling problems that i have. Does anyone know if i maybe can tinker with it some way to get my pssst sound instead of the turkey still? Thanks

I've got the GReddy RS and all i mostly get is the turkey.
I'm not close to stock but I'm at stock boost control. The RS doesnt blow off in Neutral either , compared to other BOV's that do.
I can make it BO, but it's very quick because I'm not running much boost. When my wastegate was broken, it was easy to make it Blow-off though :)

This BOV was intened for Higher boost levels and High performance, so until then your mostly only gonna have turkey.

If you want sound, you want the older bov's- GReddy Type S, HKS SSQ, Turbo XS etc.

Yes oh hell yes, the Type S sounds sooo good. The problem is finding one, because GReddy doesnt make them anymore.

I sold mine to my friend with a 2nd Gen RX7. I regret it everyday.

I'd suggest the HKS, and just getting a new flange so you can put it on. Thats what I'm leaning towards doing.

well i guess i am gonna start looking for one. what about the type r does it work as well and do all the greddys fit on the same flange? if so do u have anyone who wants a rs damn near brand new jus put in last week...lol

yea i like the whistle the ssqv makes it is nice...i would consider that but the adapter piece i have for my car will only hold greddy's being that i dont have hardpipes or a fmic i had to go with the adapter piece.

I dunno how the Type R sounds because I think it is also made for HIGH boost.

And no i don't know anyone thats needs a BOV lol.

Can you get it to Blow off at all? what do you have done besides the BOV?

i have a cat-back and downpipe both from apexr1...injen cai...those are the performance mods

I'm running a greddy type RS and mine is quite vocal when open vented. It's not like a type S but it makes a smooth woosh sound for all your ricey pleasure. My mod list is very long but I'm not running crazy high boost and still getting a nice sound.

I have a greddy type S, and if you want it blow in neutral, you have to loosen the setting on the BOV. But then you get really bad stalling.

naw dude, sorry but the looser you make it the more turkey you'll get with the RS. I've tried it. This valve was made for high boost, and was made to hold boost between shifts. However, you should be able to get it to blow-off a little.( not in neutral tho)

Even if it's for a tenth of a sec. it should blow-off real quick and then make the turkey noise.

I AM SOOOOOOOO DRUNK RIGHT NOW LOL ,iT'S LIKE 2:00 IN THE MORNING HAHAHAHA.

I saw this too but I don't like the silicone hose. Is it gonna leak, or crack, or anything?

I dunno, where do they sell just the hks flange?
well i don't see why it would be different than any other silicon coupler. it looks to even be thicker than what came with the couplers on my fmic.

yea, i guess so. but then I 'd have to cut the pipe to put this on.

And I have to figure out how big that intercooler pipe is. How big is the pipe on the HiBoost kit with the flange on it?
