Hey Brach,
That's an awesome answer, and like I said, I never expected you to do a "before and after" of every scenario there was, I agree that for an individual that would be asking WAY too much. In case I hadn't made it clear in my message, I was only wondering if you were planning on doing a before and after of the whole kit, which I know can only happen when all of them are done, which will probably be around the end of October.

We all know these are going to give us gains, and many of us are NA guys who will take any gains we can get - safely in my case - so we know we aren't getting screwed since these seem to be very well researched and built with great care.

Thank you for your candid response and your dedicated work in this regard, and I look forward to your products arriving at my door.

This is for Culrid.

I have not done any dyno testing for a few reasons. First being cost. To buy time on a dyno up here to do back to back (stock then switching parts) dyno results without removing the car would cost several hundred dollars. This is the only way to make it accurate. At this time I do not have the time to do that. Working full time, plus doing the pulleys, along with day to day living cores there is not enough time in the day. I do plan to do a dyno day when I have all the pulleys done. Not piece by piece. Light weight pulleys are not new to the market. They have been around for sometime and typically people see 5-7 Horsepower with light weight accessory pulleys. Just because we have mazda's does not mean we will not see similar gains. As for the crank pulley, I would guess around 3-5 HP for that. But the dyno will tell the numbers when a get on it.

I'm trying to upload pictures of the WP pulley and it's weight, but my computer will not reconize my camera for some reason now. So I'm going to reinstall the software and have it loaded tonight.
Until then here is what they weight.
Stock water pump pulley weights 211 grams. The light weight comes in at 112 grams.

The WP pulley are at the anodizer and will be ready on Thursday. I will be shipping those off on Thursday and Friday. The PS pulley is in work. I had to order tooling for the splined center section. That will be here tomorrow and I'll be able to finish the first test PS pulley.

i am interested if you could perhaps hold off for about a month for me to get the extra money for these. but i will buy both of them if you can wait. to much to buy friday. rotors, pads, intake, and turbo timer.

unfortunately for you i doubt he will be able to "hold" off on these due to the high demand and already being done with the ps and alt and there all bought already. sorry. but hes going to make more batches in a few weeks at least of the alt...hopefully all of them. thats when ill be picking them up.

I will be running the ALT, WP and PS pulleys right after I finish the PS pulley. This way those that missed out can get them. They will be alittle more then, so if you can jump in before hand and pick a piece up it will save you some money. I expect today and the rest of the week people to be posting that they got their ALT pulley. Please post in the revew section and not in the thread.

Looking forward to it. Did I miss the price on the PS somewhere in all this or was it even thrown out there yet? **edit**nevermind, scanned & found it..."around 60.00"

Haven't been to my parents house to see if the ALT pulley is there yet. Will see today. So as of now the PS pulley is next in line and then the crank is that correct?

What belts would be recommended for these pulleys? Since im going to be in these, might as well change the belts.....

Just use Goodyear Gatorbacks, there quiet and its what I got after I needed smaller belts for my UDP and they seem to be high quality belts, I think the two belts came out to $60 though, I don't know how much cheap belts run but you really do get what you pay for so... its up to you. Gates are good belts too but I hear they can be noisy.

I got them at AutoZone but whatever auto store is around should have them. I don't know the stock part numbers but they will, the ones I have are smaller because of my UDP. There really nice belts though, Ive tightened them twice over a month while they were getting broken in and there nice a quiet now:)

Brach, I know you mentioned how the install of the PS pulley would work, but how are we supposed to remove the stock pulley if it's pressed on?

And just to clarify, it's $65 shipped now for the PS, not $60 right?

It will come off with a 2 or 3 jam puller. Yes, $65 shipped. When you put the new pulley on, there is a bolt hole right in the center of the PS shaft. Just put a bolt in with a washer to suck the pulley in. I will have instructions on how to do it before I release that one.

A shop would have no problem putting the PS pulley on I would assume, right?

I need to have my timing belt changed, so I'm gonna get all of the pulleys done in-shop at the same time.

got my alt pulley yesterday, and i can't wait to get the rest. I may have missed it, but are you takeing payment for the PS pulley yet?
