This is for Culrid.
I have not done any dyno testing for a few reasons. First being cost. To buy time on a dyno up here to do back to back (stock then switching parts) dyno results without removing the car would cost several hundred dollars. This is the only way to make it accurate. At this time I do not have the time to do that. Working full time, plus doing the pulleys, along with day to day living cores there is not enough time in the day. I do plan to do a dyno day when I have all the pulleys done. Not piece by piece. Light weight pulleys are not new to the market. They have been around for sometime and typically people see 5-7 Horsepower with light weight accessory pulleys. Just because we have mazda's does not mean we will not see similar gains. As for the crank pulley, I would guess around 3-5 HP for that. But the dyno will tell the numbers when a get on it.
I'm trying to upload pictures of the WP pulley and it's weight, but my computer will not reconize my camera for some reason now. So I'm going to reinstall the software and have it loaded tonight.
Until then here is what they weight.
Stock water pump pulley weights 211 grams. The light weight comes in at 112 grams.
The WP pulley are at the anodizer and will be ready on Thursday. I will be shipping those off on Thursday and Friday. The PS pulley is in work. I had to order tooling for the splined center section. That will be here tomorrow and I'll be able to finish the first test PS pulley.
