I went up to exhaust pros to get a quote. he said about $600 for engine back for magna flow... is that a good deal... what do u think of magnaflow?

also he said that he had done a previous msp he dynoed it and said it got a 17 hp gain... how good is that for an exhaust? (i don't know if that was cat back or engine...)

$600, what diameter piping? was that with catalitic converter? and was the price for made/installed or just made?

hmmphh that guy seemed like he didn't want to talk... umm i would say high flow cat... could be wrong and if i had to guess that would be made not installed and he said 2.5" diam

I would get something without cats.. that is where you will have the most gains.

Magnaflow cat-back exhaust is 2.25 diameter (at least mine is), and will cost 400-450 depending where you get it. A hi-flow midpipe or catless midpipe, 2.5" diameter like Mental Addiction's runs 150 to 200.

Now if this is an exhaust shop, he probably figures he can fabricate all the piping, meaning he can fabricate the midpipe and most of the catback, then slap on a magnaflow muffler. That'll cut costs significantly for him...

just get the Corksport and call it a day. It's cheaper/same price for tried and true product. they sell S pipe seperately if you want to go turbo back or you can just get there catback that is a cat-delete system. looks good, sounds good, makes power.

That's what I'm doing this week end. I'm getting 15 ft. or so of 2.5" pipe, then I'm just going to copy the stock system leaving out the cats and resonater.
