i'm trying to make my wife a cd with some music with a good beat and bass. i'm not talking about a db drag cd. just music you guys know that has alot of bass. whether it's rap or techno. so give me what ever you like to listen in your own cars. oh, and she's got a 10" diamond audio D3 that can hit like no other! thanks!

David

hey mate just tellin' ya if u want bassy techno/rap get "MAXIMUM BASS 2" its got some decent stuff on it i got it couple weeks ago and its not to bad at all for bassy music with good beats

Dieselboy - The Dungeonmaster's Guide

thats my favorite cd now and it doesnt sound like it was purely recorded for testing your subs. its drum n bass music which is like techno but with phat beats.

I was driving around a few days ago, had the mp3 drive on shuffle and Bone Thugs In Harmony - Crossroads came on and it had alot of bass

Outkast - Ghetto Musick and Tomb of Boom from the Speakerboxx album. Also the Ying Yang Twins - Wait (Whisper Song)

Aphrodite - Urban Junglist
BT - Still Life in Motion
Gorillaz - Demon Dayz
Outkast - Aquemini
ATCQ - The Low End Theory

... Those are all albums though.

My favorite hip hop bass tracks are:
I Against I - Mos Def and Massive Attack off the Blade II Soundtrack
Basstronics - Bass I Love You
J-Kwan (sp?) - Tipsy
Kanye West - To The Wire
The Roots - Don't Say Nuthin

Metal - anything by Korn, NIN, Tool.

Trance - Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Rank 1.

But I tell you what though, nothing compares to real instruments well recorded (Telarc, Chesky, Sheffield Labs) like stand up bass stuff from jazz or blues albums. Unless you get some pipe organ - which will just destroy your system!!

X-ecutioners - It's going down

Z trip - About Face

Eminem - Ass like that

The Prodigy - Smack my b**** up

Track number 1 on Outkast "Speakerboxx" it's demo track material

and Linkin Park & Jay Z "Collision Course" is a bassy album.

After investigating Z-Trip's "About Face" I found "Breakfast Club" on the same album (entitled "Shifting Gears"). Now that's some pretty good bass.

I also agree with any Prodigy (especially "Diesel Power" from the Fat of the Land album, Kool Keith (aka Dr. Octagon) does the lyrics for that song).

After you guys got me listening to music, I started perusing my collection and this is what I found in terms of good bass music (good music in general IMHO):

(Artist - Song Title)
U.N.K.L.E. - Celestial Annihilation
Superchumbo - The Revolution
The Roots w/ BT - Tao of the Machine
Orbital - Tunnel Trance
Nine Inch Nails - Deep
Mix Master Mike - Ill s***
Limp Bizkit - My Generation
Jurassic 5 - A Day at the Races
Enigma - Sadness

Three six mafia- pretty much anything, especially stuff pre- most known unknowns. Late Night Tip is best.

Lil John- same but try BME Click

Any young jeezy.

I really wanted to just do albums, but everyone was talking songs, eh.

Shifting Gears is all good IMO... I like "Everything Changes" "Shock & Awe" and "Walking Dead" (it's got Chester Benninton from Linkin Park)(first)

All Prodigy has good bass

couple others
AAliah (sp) - Try Again
Sisqo - Thong Song

And Moby has a couple techno tracks if you can find them (Don't get the remixes)
Mission Impossible
and
James Bond
