who else is now just too uneasy about running increased boost w/o the luxury of forged internals and full computer controlling? i know i am am way too paranoid to be running 10+ anymore given the fact that there is a lot of engines goin up like popcorn! i figured, like most of you probably, that i would have some fun and crank the s*** up untill i could afford to rebuild the engine and run a stand alone computer, ect. but **** that man, just not worth it, i can barely afford this car as it is being in college, let alone a bill for over 5grand in damage. but, after i took the MBC off today, i realized that the car really isnt that bad w/o it. it feels better when you dont have to worry about looking up at your gauges. ah, maybe it just feels better since its cold. one thing ill always miss is 2nd gear and 10psi!!!!!!!!!! owell, someday, but for now, we're gonna play it wise;) just wanted to see if anyone eles was backing down.

I never modded mine. If I wanted a faster car, I would have bought an SRT-4. I like the MSP fine as I got it.

Yeah, I figured I'll just try to get every bolt-on possible, but keep the stock level. Not as easy or cheap as just raising the boost, but much safer.

the only thing i will probably do to this car right now is a turbo catback exhaust w/ downpipe and a short ram intake.. if i could ever find one!! if not.. Injen cai will suffice.. hehe

I might consider the AEM SRI hen it eventually comes out, assuming it has a decent heatshield. Exhaust is also possible. No boost raising, though.

Yup...it's only airflow mods for me until my warranty expires...or if I finally get a new job and can afford to take the chance of voiding the warranty ;)

thats what i figured:( gonna get some hard pipes fabricated here soon then the intake and exhaust, which should suffice for a while:)...evil grin

hmm.. wouldn't mind doing hard pipes, new bov, fmic either.. just no boostin up.. :( yea yea.. iknow.. i'm a wuss. hehe

i would imagine a full turbo back would net somewhere around 15-25 whp increase? could be wrong though, i know i got some big numbers when i put full exhaust on my rx-7!

I'm with all of you, I was going to get some gauges and up the boost to 8 or 9, but know I am going with a Injen CAI and sometime I will get an exhaust, and maybe some hardpipes...god damnit, I was so excited about upping the boost too.

guys just get a dual stage boost controller. I have my second stage set at 9.5 and am running stock almost daily. I do like to spread her legs on occasion though...hehe

Yeah, just exhaust and intake for me as well. You've got to remember, these cars are just a year old, and I haven't heard of anyone having more than 20k miles on their MSPs. Those who are upping there boost and having no problems now, may be singing a different tune in a year or two. That's not to mention the recent rash of engine meltdowns people have already experienced. That's just me, though.

The FS-DE has been around for a looooong time. They have seen boost before, and it's just a matter of engine and fuel management. Not to mention internals, although some would argue against that. It's the bad ECU's...mainly fuel maps that are holding us back. I'd be willing to bet that in a year, we will have more options available to us as far as engine and fuel management, and 12-15 pounds of boost will be easily attainable.

Just give it some time, but at the same time, we're going to need the brave few who will venture out there and try new things on these cars.

22k with a dual stage ebc set to 9psi high/stock low havent had any problems what so ever no "fuel cut" "spark cut" just nicely fashioned power had it like this since 2k

I am running stock boos now but am thinking I may go with a dual stage ebc. That way I can get rid of the pillar and have a nice clean digital boost guage. I had my MBC in until I started hitting fuel cut at 9 psi. I figure it was cutting for a reasion so I took it out.

Im personally going to continue to run 9psi. The car hasnt given me any trouble and I have no reason to think its going to blow. If it does its ok because I want to get internals anyway. Been running 9psi for about 1k now. Ill let you know how it holds up
