forgive me first off if this entire post is one (or more) stupid question(s).
I've done a little research on the process of getting sponsored (i know i should do a lot, I'm working on it)
i just wanted to pick your brains on ideas, suggestions and cautions you guys/girls may have on going about getting the nod.
the #1 reason for wanting to get sponsored is so i can start learning how the advertisement field in performance cars works. id like to start getting involved in meets and just the car world in general. as of right now i haven't been to many meets and didn't feel "in the loop" with how the meets operated when i went to the few that I've been to.
also due to just recently getting married my wife and I decided it would be a wise decision to put all of our play money towards our school loans rather then spending it on toys (I.E. mods)
so that led to me seeking alternative ways of pursuing my hobby.
one thing i do want to make clear though is I'm not looking for a hand out. i want i work towards making a career out of this and i thought getting sponsored would be a great way of learning more about my MSP and other cars but to gain more knowledge of the after market industry.
so what would be my first step? i live between Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio so is there any shops or people around my area i should get in contact with?
thanks in advance for the help/constructive criticism i may receive from the people that take the time to respond to this post, its very much appreciated.
