getting burnt out

EE...eventually...someday...dont laugh, im talking classes at the local community college right now, to transfer to university eventually...

I have this horrible obsession with circuits, optoelectronics, microcontrollers and programming, etc... I tried to get into other things instead, (im not really that good at math...), but I find that in my free time I've always got some electronics project..or im thinking about designing interfaces or PCBs...or some s***... and it gets annoying when I'd like to do something, but i dont know how...I'd actually like to know s***. I can get by with Google and s***, but that doesn't mean i know what I'm doing. :p

I am doing EE also. I love it. You will need a lot of math, and it only gets harder. Electromagnetics is all third semester calculus, circuits have a lot of differential equations, etc. If you need some help PM me anytime. Even if you hate math, work on it the hardest because you won't be able to get by without it. You will like classes like linear algebra as they deal with matrices. I'm a geek i guess:)

Yeah thanks man. I dont neccessarily hate math, it just gets tedious at times...but yeah, like i posted before, I am not giving up...after i dropped out of that Calc II class, i kinda just stopped going to school for awhile...and then i realized i needed to give it another shot, so here i go again. i will definely take you up on that PM offer ;) haha

Wait until you get into Differential Equations...good times...you'll be praying integrals were all you had to do.

i'll be taking that in the spring... we'll see how that goes... (nervous)

at least i know who to call for help (lol2)

Meh Differential Equations is not that bad. You should have taken Linear Algebra before that and it's just a few steps aboe that. At least it's just a lot of straight math. Try taking Math Theory courses...that will blow your mind.

Math theory makes me sad on the inside. I sat in on a few theory classes in college (was done before I got there with my weak ass requirements as a social science major) just to try and see what it was like and my brain actually hurt afterwards. my dad's an EE and a CE, he kept pushing me to get into anything engineering. too bad I didn't listen my gf's dad just handed out a $95k salary supervisor position where an engineering degree was required... speaking of I'm going to go back to my remedial job now :( :D

anything theory is gay.... like when you do physics problems..."theoretically it should do so and so, disregarding air resistance, etc etc". bullcraps.

Yep; agreed. I was going to mention linear at first, but not everyone goes through linear algebra.

If I ever see another theorem again, I'll freak

yeah... linear algebra for me this semester...

Hopefully you don't have a teacher that wants you to find the eigen values for a 5 x 5 matrix without using a calculator on a test. Good times factoring.

oooh... sounds like fun! except not. i'm such a loser. i keep taking math classes for fun... :( at least i can drop em and not worry at any time though....
