Funny thing is, it actually does have an Infinity stereo in it.

Those 350z's and G35's look sweet!
How long have the Koreans been in the market? It's been at least 15 years now... They've been making solid cars with great value for a while now, but without much to get excited about. Now the Genesis cars provide a little more of that.
Base curb weight: 3549 lbs. (V6); 3439 lbs. (4-cylinder)
Fale.
Fail.

I would take one in black or blue please!! I wonder if you and price one yet?
Not arguing that, but KDM have not been on the RWD performance budget cars like this one for long (Tiburon is FWD and came until 96).
If we go to "any" KDM try to find a 15yr old Hyundai X1 Excel on the road on a fair condition and running, good luck. Now try to find a 15yr old JDM Toyota Corolla or Accord on the road on a fair condition and still running, there should be plenty.
Yes, but how long did it take for people to stop thinking that Japanese cars were big s***-boxes that were going to fall apart?
Oddly, I think of Hyundais as very reliable cars, and Kias as pieces of s***, even though it's the same company. Then again, I don't know anyone who's had a problem with a Hyundai, and everyone I know with a Kia has had it in the shop a LOT, so... (shrug)

Well, of course. Kids aren't allowed to drive! Duh!
As for this car: I like it. I think the rear window droop is distinctive and kind of cool without being completely goofy. I'm all for the rest of the styling.
More importantly, I love the idea of an affordable RWD coupe, and as much as they've teased us (over and over and ******* over again) with concept pictures, Mazda, Toyota and Nissan just aren't building them, Hyundai is.
I'd seriously consider one. If they come out with a convertible, I'd probably trade my Mustang in!

a more fair comparison is to try to find some of the early hondas and toyotas that were still on the road after 15 years. initially people thought hondas and toyotas were pieces of s*** because, well, they were pieces of s***. it took a while before they got their act straight and even longer for people's perception to change. now hyundai is facing that same battle. their early cars were pieces of s*** but they've learned their lessons and moved on. now it's just a matter of time before perception catches back up to reality. If we go to "any" KDM try to find a 15yr old Hyundai X1 Excel on the road on a fair condition and running, good luck.
