i'm surprised water got on your belts. (isn't your vent cover the one with the predrilled drainage hole? if it is you shouldnt' have had any issue with the water.)
I live in a place that gets rain 9 months of the year. when we did the test we basically poured ALOT of water from a hose onto the hood. and it drained very well. If we put tooo much water it would leak a little bit from the edges but minimaly compared to the amount of water that was being put onto the hood. the drainage hole lets the water out and is actually quite important in the v/c's function. so if you don't have a hole drilled, it might be a good idea to find a spot that works for you and make that hole.
There's some truth to your feeling, though. People do have to know, and i mention this in the other thread, that you'll be hard pressed to find a carbon fiber hood that is 100% perfect. Also that with any vented hood, it's common sense that you open up the possibility of getting stuff in. This hood out of all the vented hoods probably allows for the least direct leakage.
Nutari, if there are still fitment issues, pm me and i'll try to work through this with you. I know it's frustrating.
