Gauge Cluster Mods

Do the aftermarket gauge faces have really huge holes in them, or something? I can't see how you could slip the face over the needle without about a 3/4" hole there to get past the part of the needle that sticks out backwards.

well with the ones I got, there was enough but hardly. just slip it over the tip of the needle, then when it gets down to the base, be very careful and you can push the cover under the base of the needle and slip it over the other side. my word of caution is to put all the pressure on your gauge overlay, not the needle cause we all know you dont wanna break one. i know some gauges may vary but take the cluster out, set it down and give it a try. i have no experience and i was able to do it.
