Have any of you noticed big differences between gas brands?
When I had my honda I ALWAYS used Holiday gas, the engine just felt better. So I've continued with my msp, but with 93. Holiday is the only station around here that offers 93 octane, everyone else is 92, definitely no California 94-95, at least not in normal stations.
There's always been what I guess might be the hesitation you guys describe around 3k-5k, though it never felt like a big deal.
On a road trip one time I was forced to buy shell, and I swore it felt better, but I thought I musta been imagining it. This morning, out of desperation I bought Conoco 92, and it was amazing! Any "hestitation" from 3-5k was totally gone, felt much smoother and maybe a bit more powerful.
I think I'll try Conoco for a while, see how it holds up, have any of you had similar experiences? Do you know what causes the differences? I know holiday has "blue earth" gas which I think means it has a bit of ethanol in it, is that bad?
