Funny: Against CF? Discuss.

this is similar to your tiny rims and automatic transmission, no?

haha how is that similar? you loved my car until i had tiny rims...which were stock...and an auto tranny...which was stock too

i was like 17 when i bought those wheels...i was not about to waste my money getting new wheels, AND new tires, when my stock tires were perfectly good...

and my dad picked the car out...maybe i should have been a little spoiled brat and cried when my daddy came home with an auto rather than a manual...yeah, why didnt i think of that before!????

i am waaaaay waaay to appreciative of the fact that my dad even GOT me a car to CARE about what kind of transmission it has...

I just dont understand your thinking here. With this logic you are telling me that you could run down the street with 50lbs on your back just as fast as you could if you were naked? I doubt it man. I'll agree that in most cases carbon fiber is purely for looks. But it does have functionality even in small doses.
Thats the worst analogy in history. Lets make it realistic.

A protege weights roughly 2500 pounds. 50 pound would be an increase of 2%. So adding 50 pounds to a protege would be like adding 3 pounds on my back not 50.

Also a car has a much better power to weight ratio compared to my slow ass. so it make even less of an impact then it would to me.

cf, not my thing, don't really care if someone has it either...but imo it should replace stock parts for the weight reduction, and for people saying 100lbs won't make a difference, you must not know much about drag racing because 100lbs makes a BIG difference...i know from experience :D, every time i took out alot of weight from the car(did it in steps) you could DEFINATELY tell the difference not only in my head but at the track it was proved also, and when someone would ride in my car it felt alot more slugish...which is probably the reason i removed the passenger seat too lol
I smell a challenge.
I guarentee you if you go to the track with a friend with a similar car and have a 3rd friend add 100 pounds 5 times to each of your cars, but at random so you don't know if its present or not, you will see no definitive difference in 1/4 times between being weighted and unweighted. It would also be interesting to have you guys guess if the weight was present or not.

its similar because youre car is really not impressive at all. since day one, i noticed what seems to be you modding your car to get attention. not because you liked it but because other people liked and basically picked stuff for you. i dont even think you installed your own intake IIRC. so what im saying is, im not at all impressed with your tiny wheels and basically close to stock car. its like the second place loser calling the first place winner "slow" or whatever.

speaking of which, while you may feel the need to come in and rag on my car (the cf gas door is the joke of this thread, that is acceptable, coming in and saying this and that is bad is another thing), my car would beat your car in a race, at a show, and if we took both our cars somewhere i can garuntee people would use your car to lean up against while looking at mine.

you say you were 17 like it was 100 ******* years ago. get real, youre still a kid.

frankly i never really have liked you because you were an attention ***** that seemed to care more what other people wanted you to do or think of your car than you were doing it for yourself. fortunately you havent been on the forum much lately, or at least in any place i have noticed, though when you are, you seem to gravitate towards some negative comment about something i post, and so i just let it come out in this thread.

i have no interest in bantering back and forth with you, because in a battle of wits, youre unarmed - as i have shown you and other people before in other threads a while back. the point is, when you come in to someones thread that has a slight joke to it, but then turn around and start calling his/her car bad, when yours certainly isnt too hot to trot, is not only disrespectful, but stupid.

You two at it again. Appatently this issue is Matt's "OH NO SHE DI'INT" button
(dark)

not really, i just never liked her. whats that rap song that goes: "POOF...b**** BE GONE!"

i see what youre saying but i didnt come in just to attack her car, i was responding to her basic attack on my car, which kinda pissed me off.

so yes, i did poke fun "don poke me (gay)" at her car.

(rofl)

so many things i could say...but i really am trying to stay out of forum drama...

just know that

1. i was not modding for attention...i was modding for myself...i LOVE the way my car looks...if you dont, fine....i am sure you love the way yours looks...good for you, you should...i dont, but i respect that you did everything because you liked it

2. when i said that i bought them when i was 17, i mean that i dont have a lot of money...i am 18 right now, i dont have a job...i cant afford to buy new wheels and tires

3. nope, i didnt install the intake...i didnt know how...before these forums, i didnt know people even modded their cars

4. umm, i know my car has no chance against yours in a race, or in a show...i never challenged you...my car is an auto...there is no point in trying to make it fast...and if i wanted it to win in a show, then i would have to put things on it that I dont like...so, therefore, i wont do it..

i am ignoring the other things...they are personal attacks with nothing to do with my car...i could attack you personally too...cuz that would really get me further on in life

well I figured you were capable of understanding my point without me having to come up with the best analogy in history. Sorry I wasn't aware that I was being graded on my accuracy. But anyway, Im not about to argue with you over what you and I both believe. You win.(cool)

Well know you know, so we won;t except an excuse next time!
:D

Hey Matt, I would go challenging her to a race right now if I were you or a show with the considtion your interior must be in form the multile rewires.

nah the interior is fine. the stuff goes under the carpet, and also im not knocking or anything i can still boost. besides at 3psi i would win easily.

I personally got a CF hood because my stock one got ****** up in my wreck, and for less than the cost of replacing it I could get a visual upgrade. I personally love the CF hood, and the only other parts I would consider getting in CF is the rear valance, and thats really iffy. I have the radio side strips in CF too, but that was because I repainted my bezel when I molded in the screen and wanted to cover up the scratched fake CF from the factory.

After: (ignore the lack of fog lights, and black strips on the windows that werent installed yet).. check out LinuxRacrs mp3 in the back.. lol

Beau: "I really like your car, except for all that carbon fiber."
Matthew: "It kinda grows on you."
Beau: "Especially that damn gas tank cover. WHen your car was at my shop i was getting gas, and I was going to rip it off, drill a hole in it, and hang it from the rear view mirror."

(rofl)

Haha, I'm not sure if I want to give Beau my car to work on anymore.:)
