Fuel door stuck!?

went to get gas this morning on my way to work & the door release on the floor wasn't doing anything!

tried to pry it open carefully but it wasn't budging...

need gas ASAP too! how do i get the damn door open?

No resistance whatsoever? Might I suggest having someone pull up on the handle while you attempt to manually open the door? I had that problem on my first car and that's what I had to do to get the fuel door open. Or jam something under the pull handle.

yeah when i pull the lever on the floor there is nothing whatsoever... but good suggestion! i'm gonna give it a shot in like 15 minutes

If there's no resistance, you've probably got a broken or severely stretched cable, but it may just be the fuel door spring and in that case, doing what I suggested would get the door open.

haven't got a chance to try yet, but how would you recommend opening it if the cable is broken?

same thing happened to my trunk release. Im not sure if they use the same type of release but something came loose where the latch is on the trunklid. Just snapped it back in place and it was fine. It was a while ago so I don't remember exactly what it was that came loose. Hopefully you figure it out soon. Good luck

Fuel door spring must have bound somehow... Hmmm.....
