Fuel-cut is driving me insane! HALP!

Have an SSAFC had bad fuel cut yesterday. Hornsfan, you able to help me run the computer while I run the car? I know you know how to do it now.

I can definitely do that, I hit fuel cut once the other day but it hasn't since.

I've never hit fuel cut since installing the AFC, even when below freezing outside. Stock turbo @ 7 psi, Turbolife FMIC, 626 IM, Injen SRI, stock MAF location, stock injectors. My tune is a bit on the risky/lean side.. 12.0-12.8 at WOT.

i need help peeps....

1. Does anyone know where to re-route a MAF?

2. When u buy a split second,do u have to adjust any settings on it?

3.wat is da best exhaust mani?

Re-route a MAF? You mean placement? I have mine about 8" away from the throttle body... I got mine used, and had to go in and change the settings, plus I was told the superstock map was loaded, when it really wasn't. I have no input on the exhaust manifold question...

So, I've been tweaking the superstock MAP to my own liking. I did hit fuel-cut this morning, but the engine wasn't up to operating temperature. When it did get to operating temperature I didn't hit fuel cut... But then again, it was 50 degrees out this morning and it's going to be 72 today.

I hope that's not the case, but that was the first thing that popped in my head while I was driving down the road.
I recorded driving yesterday before I loaded the superstock and every single time I hit fuel cut, its was 5,000rpm+ and right between 9.4-10.4psi

When my car hit fuel cut with the SSAFC it probably wasn't 100% up to operating temp yet but it was warmed up. It was night and definitely cold and I probably spiked around 10 psi. I never have had it happen again though and it's going to be almost 90 degrees today so I may not have to worry about it anyway.

How many pounds are you running? I've got mine at 10 and it'll spike to 11 sometimes, but haven't seen 13-14 like I was getting!

I have an EBC but it's turned off and the Forge WGA is set to stock boost but it's all over the place and never has held very steady boost. Runs about 6-7 PSI but always spikes to 8-9 sometimes as high as 13-14 as well. The internal WG flapper hasn't backed out so i'm pretty sure it's the Forge. I've also heard of others having their boost spike with the Forge WGA.

I too have the Forge wastegate, and get spikes of 9 psi, settles at 7 psi and then drops to 5 psi. I have gotten fuel cut in the mornings when it is cold out, but when the engine full warms up, fuel cut goes away. I believe it has to do with temp and boost levels. Fuel cut defenders can be purchased to set a new fuel cut limit. Set by psi of fuel I believe. Does anyone run a Fuel cut defender or is it a bad thing to do.

The SSAFC essentially does the same thing. I have one.

im having the same problem.......i run about 10 psi and i hit fuel cut all the time if i get on it i have no idea what to do....im thinking about just ordering a fuel cut defender and see it that works it supposedly does.

That's exactly what a piggyback does.....

But the logic is that your cutting out a safety feature built into the car from the factory so you need to make sure that your tuning is good. All the FCD is is a MAF clamp. It just limits the voltage.

U running ssafc or ems?

I am pretty new at this so, when tunning the forge wastegate, you have to adjust it where it connects with the C clip at the turbo, or can you adjust it from uptop. Never removed my turbo before.

Don't adjust boost with the wastegate just set it to the same length as the stock WG rod. If you want to adjust the boost get an EBC and that's usually not a good idea until you have upgraded the exhaust, intake and intercooler at a minimum.

Is anyone data loging with the ssafc and a wideband whom is having fuel cut issues? Is so please post the data logs of a run I would be very curios to see the voltage on the wideband where it's cutting. I was originially trying to use kickers map when I first got 440's and it would feel like fuel cut but after enough runs I started realizing the more fuel I was pulling the smoother it got. It would spike to 0.03 volts which is super rich and as voltage got back into range the cut/flood went away.

I am not looking to up the boost without an EBC. I was just wondering how to tune or adjust the wastegate to eliminate the spikes. Waiting on motor mounts to arrive then install the front mount and exhuast.
