Front Rotors

I need to replace the front rotors and pads on my wifes CX-9 and I am having problems getting the two screws that hold the rotors on loose. Are these really needed? If not, I think I will just drill them out and not replace them. This will be the second set of rotors and pads that I have replaced on this vehicle and I remember them being a pain the first time. Thanks.

That should be fine. As I understand it they are there to make assembly at the factory more efficient. Once the wheels are on they don't serve a purpose.

Drill them out and do not put them back in.

Those are such a pain to remove. Why couldn't they make those hex or something?

They're there to help when rotors get stuck on.

They are not needed.
