Front end alignment

So I've been noticing my car pull to the right recently and I parked my car the other day with the wheels turned right and noticed my front right tire is all eaten up on the inside. I had the car aligned over a year ago and didn't think to get it re-done when I installed my new wheels and tires 6 months ago. Does anyone know if I could just get it re-aligned or if I need to get the SPC ball joints for it? I really dont wanna spend the extra cash on a camber kit but at the same time I dont want to keep going thru tires and my car driving like crap.

So I guess my questions is weather I could get away with just an alignment from a good shop or if I need to get the ball joints and then have it alaigned properly? Thanks for the help.

I ate up my first set of tires, but from the outside edges. Turned out that I did need more negative camber, which could only be done by swapping out the front ball joints (I used the SPC ones). Now after a huge PITA process (due to the shop I went through just not giving me what I asked for... twice) I'm very happy with the results. Tires seem happier, the car drives great... I'll see how the tires look in another month or so. The thing is, if you're going to do an alignment, don't just take it in and ask them to put it "within spec", because it might not help you at all.

the outsides of the tires being worn in the front and not the back is either psi, or taking corners too fast. i get a lot of road noise during mountain drive curves, not really used to the noise because my 240sx gripped pretty much all the time, and would only break loose when i asked it to. would these spc ball joints make the ride that much flatter, so even during curves the road/tire noise be reduced? i always drive with my windows open so i can hear everything going on but the tire hum interferes with my turbo hum.

Alignment issues

I just had my car aligned, it had pulled right since I curbed it in the winter of 2007. They had to shift the whole cradle underneith the engine, but apparently there was nothing bent. So, shortly after I left the dealership I got this really wierd vibration on acceleration which was also noticeable just driving. After a number of attempts to figure it out, (mechanic in car) they figured it must be a motor mount. Now they changed their minds and are ordering a whole new clutch assembly and flywheel! They said that I might have to pay for a clutch disc but they are looking after the rest. (cool) I have never heard of alignment issues affecting the clutch before, but maybe the tech did something they are not proud of? I have had the same problem with outside tire wear though, and it is definitely from autocrossing! You can't just adjust the negative camber without changing parts?

You know what sucks that I have been having trouble with my front end ever since I bought the car. That dam car is pulling to the side now and I swear I got the whole front suspension changed by now new shock and control arms I don't know wtf is going on with it now dam it. I guess it needs an alignment now that I will have to pay out of my money. Just wondering about how much do they charge for an alignment and what is it they do?
