YUP, stock motor and tranny. I have always ran 8psi as that's what my WG is set for. I have the MP3 ECU still in mine so I think, without looking at my map, I have a MAX of like 14-15 degree's out. This is safe for me, I added 5 degree's back in on the dyno one time and only got a couple HP, so I took them back out to be safe.

There is a set of purple wires on the turbo module so you should be good with this one. They are the ones that will give you some extra fuel. This is for a turbo application right???? If not, then you will need to get a different TM from Nick for N/A application.
 
yea this is for my turbo mp3. so the group of purple wires does this signify it as the new or old one?
 
The purple are on the older ones. It doesn't really matter if it's old or new, they both do the same thing and you need the purple for a non MSP
 
well then i guess i'm good to go cause i have a non msp and that one has the purple wires. so it looks like i may be in business.
 
How much timing would ya'll suggest be pulled out of the MAM SS kit with the MPI so the car would be safe to very safe at 7-9psi? I just wanted to get a got reference point. I haven't got my kit yet but want to gain some knowledge before i get it back from MAM.

I would pull enough, until it starts to loose power. Then retard a bit more, if it looses more power, then advance what you just retarded and leave it like that.

I have a MAM SS map you can start with. I probably keep more timing pulled then necesary, but I like saftey and what's a couple peak HP anyway. I use a map similar to mine, with a couple extra degree's added in. So I have about 12 or so degree's pulled at max. I can send you my map or maybe Jeph can post his, he is running 7psi.
 
I can post my map here later, I will post both, the one i had when my car was running good, and the one i have now. THe one i have now has huge numbers in the extra injector because i was trying to see if it was still firing. So it will probably run really really rich.
Also I should adjust my fuel calibration so i'm not adding fuel at idle, but i'm waiting til spring when i can tune when i'm not on ice...

sounds like a good idea to me but just to let it be known i won't have a extra injector just stock injectors and ugraded pump.(for now!)
 
You're planning on running 7psi with just a new pump? I'd strongly recommend the extra injectors, because i think you'll start leaning out up top without them at 7psi. If I were you i'd spend the money on the extra injectors and forget the pump for now.

7psi on the turbo module only will not be enough fuel. Nick only says 5psi with TM only.
 
Hey Tim, should i just call Nick to have him get me the injector harness, everyone around here tells me i should go to the dealer to get it. I think the connections my problem, because sometimes in boost it will start to lean out, and then quickly go to rich, and then start leaning out again like its firing sometimes, but not all the time

Nick can get them if he doesn't already have some. Did the tie wrap thing not work?
 
Not really, it'll fire sometimes. I can add tons of fuel at idle, and sometimes it'll go rich, and other times it won't. I PM'd nick and he says he has them, but i don't know how he wants payment, so should i just call him?

Jeph--an email or PM should be fine or call his shop and leave a message.

breal--I'll post up the map but you have to remember you will have to tweak it. The map I did on Jeph's car was not finished. I should have a new one for you by then if the local guy gets his car fixed.

Where can i go to get some 550 injectors? I tried google but it came up with mostly stock sites. Would it be chaeper to go with the extra injector instead and where can i find those kits at?
