For Sale issues with yellow pro5 (anyone affected please post in here!)

Hey guys, I sent Yellow Pro5 a check for lover $200 for sonme parts for my P5over 2 months ago, and i still have not got the parts, and he keeps giving me excusues after excuses?

Any of you guys have any problems with this guy?? his name is Zach?

I asked him if he had a paypal account and he told me no, so i sent him a business check, come to find out I know he just purchased some parts of a few members with his paypal account?

I trusted him and now im getting screwed?

every now and then he responds and he assured me that my parts were going out today and that i would have tracking #'s pm'd to me but I got nothing?

any and all help would be appreciated. I am going to go to my bank this week and see if i can recover my funds, and then i am going to try and see what other options i have criminally.

I hate when you put your trust in someone, and they just take your money.

I have been a member on many forums and have never had a problem, this is a first.

yes I am also waiting on a grill.

I purchased a rear bumper cover, front grille, taillights, rear wiper, coolant canister, and air intake.

so it looks like someone else got scammed by him as well?

It is RIDICULOUSLY expensive to ship....I think maybe he didnt realize the hassle he was getting himself into by selling items like this.

Then supposedly he had to go out of town so he had his friend ship it and he used USPS and he messed up on my address so it took for ever, and ended up sitting at a usps in Indianapolis. Then he found it and was supposed to repackage it because it cost so much and ship it in a few separate boxes via UPS. Not sure why he did not just do it Greyhound like we agreed on, simple for large packages and very inexpensive.

But again not sure what to believe, after 2 months I am not really trusting what he says anymore.

And now that I find out about another member and the grille it really makes me mad.

I am going to wait a few more days to see if i get my parts or my money back from him. He has told me that i will get the parts via ups on 12/04? But who knows.

how would you guys go about getting your money back in this type of situation??

i am not sure if I can do anything at the bank since it has been so long, but I will try?

am i supposed to contact the authorities? if so which ones?

Honestly, after all the lying he's done, I wouldn't believe a thing he tells you. I doubt the bank will be able to help you, I'm sure he cashed your check right away. I'm not up on law, so I'm not sure what your options are. Maybe small claims court? Though for $200, it's probably not worth it...

Contact the dayton police.

Save this forum, save all your pms and fake tracking numbers.

Give the police a phone number and a name.

If you want, you can even contact one or both of the FBI offices in Ohio. Ask for cybercrime. Though $200 is a small amount, if you can provide a phone number, evidence (pm logs, etc), and a name, they might be able to do something.

It is pointless to go through a lawyer. You'll lose money.

tell him if you dont have the stuff 12/4 youre going to the cops/forum admins/whoever else you want to tell. if he hasnt shipped it, maybe thatll give him some incentive to get it out 2 day air or something in a god damn hurry. at least at that point youve set the ultimatum and put the ball in his court for the last time.

If he sent the packages fine, but he may have not. So let the cops know now. While the investigation is underway, and you get your packages, hooray. But if he didnt then the report is there.

Not to mention , technically this guy doesnt live in Dayton, he lives in Harrison Township/Northridge which I beleive falls under Sheriff Jurisdiction.

You ever tried to ship a bumper or something large?

The cost for shipping a bumper would be ASTRONOMICAL for two day air. Its already out of this world to ship any other way then Grey hound and its usually cheaper for a buyer to purchase a new bumper from their local dealer at the whopping cost of $240.

I would ask him how he shipped, and try to get proper numbers.....Other than that..It might be time for other action.

I'll comment here as well stating my experience with facts.

I purchased an aftermarket upper grill for my Protege5 in early October from yellow p5. The transaction went pretty smooothly. From the time he said he received my payment to when I received it was close to two weeks. The lag in shipping was attributed to Columbus Day. But once it came, it was exactly as expected.

With that being said, I was looking for a lower grill as well. He mentioned that he had one laying around that he'd be willing to part with. Because the previous transaction went relatively smoothly (despite the lag in shipping) I had no reason to think otherwise about doing business with yellow p5. Below is the conversation that took place between yellow p5 and myself about the lower grill via PM. For the record, it is 11/28 and the grill has still not come and I have not received any contact from yellow p5 in a week.

I dealt with cybercrime once (on an unrelated matter) and was advised that most cybercrime units are so swamped, that they tend to not bother with the smaller stuff... Still, I'd contact the authorities just to see what your options are at this point. It will still probably boil down to you saying you didn't get it and his swearing he sent it.

he contacted me today, and explained that it was a different grille, a lower grille he sold to the other member so there is still a little hope.

And he is not shipping 2 day air, just regular ground which is fine with me. It is not the weekend so we cant really do anything with ups but he told me he is going to go back to them and get the corect tracking info?

but again, I lost all trust and cant really believe a word he says, i just hope for the best.

Hopefully I will get my parts by next week like he is stating, then i wil lnot have to go to the authorities.

Lets see what happens. I will keep updating this thread with new information.

How is he contacting you? Have him send you a PM so that you have a paper trail.

You've gotta keep any and all information on the matter until it's resolved, otherwise it's a lot harder to build up the situation.

Just for reference...those lower grills are only about $25 NEW from the dealer.
