What HID kit can I run on the P5 fogs? I have been looking on google etc. But can not figure out how to run some...

H3's work, but there is a little modding that needs to be done to get them to work. H3C's are shorter and should fit better. I use to have the DDM H3 kit and it worked fine for me.

Its been almost 2 years since I've done it, but I had to make the hole in the foglight housing bigger, and I think I spliced the stock wires.

Hey guys! Im an ex P5 owner but now drive a Nissan Titan. All the guys live fog lights, and installing HID's in fog lights but our stockers are cheap and end up melting from the heat. Can anyone give me the dimensions of the P5 foglights, and the price they typically sell for new or used?
THANKS!

That's right put hids on a truck to have bright lights shine down and blind people in lower cars I hope you realize how annoying and painfull it is to my eyes I can't stand people who do that... End rant

I believe ours are 5 inches or something like that

I wouldn't bother installing those Hid Fogs if i were you. I used to have regular HID's on my car and i had to take them off because so many People were getting so ticked off and they would literally come to a complete stop at a green traffic light because My hid were so bright and it's happened a few times and i wasn't even tail gating them. Those Hid' cause big Problems man ust stay with Stock bulbs or just get colored ones instead

^ Only an issue using them in headlights made for halogen bulbs; fogs are fine.

^^^ that, and even in my headlights I have HID's. I just aimed them down so I wouldn't blind anyone anymore. Haven't had a problem since.

I run 5000k....not some ricer blue lights. My lights are aimed properly, and I've neer gotten a complaint. We also have replacement headlights with projectors...nothing wrong with that. The fog lights would go behind the grille, used for offroad use. Thanks for passing judgment though.

This. I even had mine miss aimed for a while, no one ever said/did anything. I asked the guy I bought them from regarding the legalities, he says if they're properly aimed and not ricey blue one should be ok.

I think that 3K yellow fogs would look awesome next to 5K low beams. If you have them turned on only when you need them, no one can complain really.
And 3rd-ing buying a decent kit, don't run those crummy high (nay! inevitable) fail rate ebays
Also don't HID's run cooler than halogens?

yeah, 3k against 5k lows would be nice IMO. I believe HID's run less voltage (after startup) and cooler.

I just tried installing my H3 kit in my fogs today and it seemed as though the reflector inside the fog light housing was too shallow for the H3 bulb. Was I just not being patient enough? Or is there a modification I need to do?

^ I pushed mine up a little with a stick. Regular H3 bulbs fit, its just really tight.

Get h3c bulbs they fit fine. I plan on getting the ddm kit since I have a burned out bulb 18 bucks per bulb is rediculous
