I have a turbo xs fmic and a cpe SRI, but the issue is that the SRI and FMIC rub against one another. Anyone running a turbo xs fmic with an SRI that works?

damn i was hoping to see some replies to this. i have the same issue with the cobb sri

thats odd, what part is rubbing? i have the cobb FMIC and cobb sri so id imagine theyre designed not to interfere with each other but the turboxs FMIC is similar in design to cobb, i think the cp-e with it's larger diameter piping than the cobb sri might be the issue... my sri DOES rub against the recirc tube but thats no issue cause silicon on silicon wont be any issue.

can you guys get some pics of where its rubbing?

The filter itself rubs on the FMIC piping I will take some pics and post them this weekend. But I really want to get another SRI that will be compatible with the Turboxs FMIC.

The corner of the Cobb filter rubs on the second IC pipe just after the silicon coupler. I just took off the filter after two weeks of driving to see how badly it was rubbing and it was nothing serious. There's little scratch on the pipe and the end of the filter wasn't worn down or bent. I put a small piece of tape between the filter and the pipe and its fine now.

That's a very economical and simple resolution to your problem. I might try that, but I feel the filter would just rub right through the tape the scratch is kind of bad. I will post pic's soon I'm in MA for the weekend, so when I get home I will put them up.
