First oil change with low mileage use

I don't have a Honda, but if I did, yes, I would. There is no reason I couldn't use the OEM oil, if there were actually something special about it. It's better to remove the initial wear products, than to use them as a "polishing compound". Now, whether Honda's factory fill is unusual needs to be verified. Your statement makes me think it is to protect the owners from greedy dealers.
Honda officially stated that the owner should keep the factory fill according to normal OCI (7,500 miles before they started to use “Maintenance Minder” with oil life monitor in 2015). And the owner’s manual also says the same at the Break-in section in the manual. Honda also said they use high-moly break-in oil in factory fill, which is not the same oil as Honda genuine motor oil sold at the dealership.
