So I picked up a P5 tonite. It's all stock with man trans. Motor has a blown head gasket, we think. Got a pretty good deal on it because it's not running. Going to crack the engine open in a day or two and see what the problem is. Oil is milky, car was apparently running fine, then started to stumble, stalled, and was parked. Hope that it's just a gasket but we'll see. A bit nervous about whats inside but the car is in decent shape so I think it was worth a shot.

I can't find a manual at the local Canadian Tire, any links that would have the torque specs for the head, etc?

Any other tips for the motor, weak spots, etc? I noticed a few posts recommending the water pump be replaced while your in there? What's the deal there?

Well finally got the car on the road last night, other projects have tied me up for a while. Replaced the head gasket, and the head (warped). Timing belt, waterpump, rad, and waiting for a front motor mount to show up. After the test drive I think the control arm bushings should be done and I'm going to have to find a bad bushing or strut mount in the back, but other than that it's a pretty good little car. Runs really nice, Everything works.

Thanks for all the links, they were extremely helpful.
