The weather finally cleared up enough for me to wash my baby and take some pictures with the digital camera.
Introducing Lauren(my baby!)
Color: Sunlight Silver
Wheels: 18X7.5 Falcon Hanabi 43+ offset, Satin Silver. The outside of the wheels are the silver color, the side of the spokes and grooves are a darker grey color

nice wheels! Better than my brake-dust-colored Traklites! Those directional spoke wheels work awesome with your silver Mazda..... now all we need is some Coilovers (are you listening Tein!!!!).... by the way, do the rear wheels sit flush with the fenders or do the fronts?

Yes they sit flush with the front/rear, but the way the fenders curve inwards towards the bottom makes them look like they slightly stick out.

I'll try to get some more pics later of the tire tread pattern, close up of the wheels and some other shots.

Edit: they are NOT directional, they are one way, even though they appear to be directional.

I like the looks of those a lot. Do they come in 17's? How does the handling and ride feel now?

Yes, they make them in 17:

I'd recommend going with Falken Ziex ZE-512 225/45/17 :

Or these badboys:

As far as ride goes, it's a little harsher b/c of the low profile of the tires.
and also quite noisy b/c of the Yokohamas.
BUT, and this is a very big but, The handling is pretty insane. This car LOVES curves and if you put some good tires on you'll notice that you can push to farther and farther to the edge.
Of course I like falcon tires best b/c they are slightly wider than other brands, very sticky, and also a LOT quieter.
Can't beat the "rim guards"

hey rock ive seen your car before over around blanding or somewhere. i live up in columbia,sc. i just go down there to see my daughter. ill be down there the 17th through the 21st of dec drop me a line man.

Some of us rub our 17's when the rear bottoms out. Any issues with the 18s? Do you think there is room for a .5 to 1.5" drop? BTW, how is the offset, no rubbing at steering lock?

Sorry for the questions, I havn't played with a little sporty car for several years. Been playing with 4x4s, bigger tires rub? get lift, still rub, get the sawsall and start cutting! Can't go cutting fenders on our 3s now can we? (dark)

Thanks,

I think that they should have gave you 2 different wheels so that the "blades", or whatever you call them, face the same direction on both sides of the car. But it looks good.
