exhaust!

so you still have the stock back box just changed the tip and piping going into the back box? and whats CNC? im thinking of seeing a local garage to remove the cat from the piping and changing the piping to 2" also, you have 2" all the way through or does it start a little after the header and down pipe?

No, all the catback(stock header and cat) exhaust is custom made from a local garage. The original middle piping for us the EU pre-fl models is 45mm(with middle box) and the back box is 42mm. My exhaust setup now is 50mm for the middle piping and the backbox.

u have an intake on it?

i hear the exhaust which i like. but dont hear any intake (non OEM)

like it =]
look at the other thread for the intake :). It is not the OEM

ok so you have 50mm pipe running from stock header and stock cat on the header, all way through to the back box, is it the standard back box? had a nice hum to it :) and does this have a impact on power loss or gain? and mine is 2007 1.5 EU pre-fl :P

No, as i said, it is a custom back box with ID 50mm. The stock one have ID 42mm.
I saw a power gain at mid and higher RPM, lower RPM such as 2000, i didnt see any difference.

If you just buy a back box with ID 48mm(with out changing anything else) there will be a noticeable difference compared to the stock.

ahhh i seee now thanks and yea i will be looking around for a decent backbox with 48-50mm ID thanks :) any ideas on somebody decent to get a backbox from?

guy at a local shop will cut and replace my res with a pipe for 30 bux. says hell do cat back custom for 150 to my liking (just cuz a good friend of a friend)

but moneys tight tho i did get a few bux from a show so im debating on a res cut or not. i dont think ill delete the 2nd cat just cuz im not sure about the law/emissions.

unlesss someone can enlighten me on that?

well got my res deleted for 50. at low rpms its a bit louder and has a nice slight growl/rasp

deff better than stock.

gonna get a custom muffler soon =]

also with the res gone theres less cabin drone (at least for me) since the res was right under about where the console is.
