the only other thing JIC makes for the protege is the coilovers. and EVERYONE who has them on swears by them. i wish i could get a ride in someone's car with them to see what all the hype is about... but yeah... JIC doesn't mess around when it comes to products.
the greatest thing about the JIC exhaust is its weight. the racing beat weighs in at a plump 46 pounds. the JIC's on the other hand, weigh in at 20 or less... i can't remember. and the sound is to die for apparently. if it sounds as good on our cars as it does on this NA supra i saw, hot dang!
We've been running both the coilovers and the exhausts since day one. They are incredible but still not for everyone. You must be an enthusiast and handling the number one priority. If you want a ride that will impress a girl then don't get these or run some 15" with some phat sidewalls and lower tire pressure. IT's not bad at all for californians. But i've heard stories from other places that were worse.
The exhaust is high quality lightweight stainless and definitely is the best sounding exhaust for the P5. All things considered it's the best one. We hope to be releasing an exhaust system shortly that will be similar in traits to the JIC as far as SS and so forth. I'll keep you guys posted.
Our products will release after the beginning of the year. For now I have these ones.
As far as the MS axle back for the P5, there is a drone most noticable between 73 and 80 mph below that or above and there is no drone at all. Otherwise the sound is excellent, deep and throaty, not buzzy at all. But the drone isn't that bad, 4 volume bars showing on the stock stereo and you can't even hear it.
i feel the same about skunk2...i'm interested to see what it sounds like on my p5...the jic sounds really good, but i'm getting the skunk2 catback for less...so i figure i'd have the first for the mazda(according to them)...skunk2 has a lot of different products coming out at the end of this month, and already have coilovers...
Buy cheaper one.
They all increase a LITTLE hp.
And the point getting a muffler is for loud and deep sound, isn't it?
Don't buy expensive catback. Buy MS Axleback and with some extra money, get a intake or lowering springs.
It's just my opinion
I know, that's a really good deal! But I still have to consider taxes and customs fee....
ARD MP5 - What shipping service would that be? I know that UPS sometimes tacks on an additional $65.00 to broker international shipments, but Canada Post only charges $5.00. Is there anyway to ship it USPS/Canda Post (i think when it's shipped USPS it automatically gets handed off to Canadapost at the border.)
I've been looking at either this or new rims, but the MP3 guy I found wants an arm and a leg for them.
